If you think that is going to hold up you are dreaming . The best thing that could happen to Trump is to be banned from Michigan . The attorney General does not have that power . To see the state police arrest Trump for coming to michigan would hand him Michigan on a silver platter. He wins Michigan and he is reelected .

Do you wait to be told when to pee?

Or do you pee in the cat box anytime you want to?

I've had jobs where one had to ask permission to leave the floor, even if it was to pee.

She said that he wouldn't be welcome, not that he would be detained.

Are you trying to tell me that Trump can't medically tolerate wearing a mask?

In the 2020-92 order you just linked this is in it.

Nothing in this order should be taken to interfere with or infringe on the powers of the legislative and judicial branches to perform their constitutional duties or exercise their authority. Similarly, nothing in this order shall be taken to abridge protections guaranteed by the state or federal constitution under these emergency circumstances.

Now to me that says this order does not apply to the White House personel.

NOT A LAW.

Is that hard to comprehend?

It is NOT law. It is the governor asking people to comply.

An executive order only becomes a law after a legislative review, and subsequent submitted legislation to enact the order as law.

NOT A STATE LAW, NOT ANY LAW, NOT A LAW AT ALL.

Preznit "I'm Above the Law" is NOT wearing a mask!

The horrors!!!

What does it mean? It means he isn't a brain-dead, scared little girl, and isn't afraid of the boogeyman.

Go hide in your closet Sookie, leave t he rest of us to live our lives.

Why are people even entertaining this troll?

The topic of the thread is Trump visiting a car plant in Michigan.

I've never seen a thread get derailed so quickly and for so long.

Exactly. EOs like this only apply to those working in government - government employees.

I am watching this live in Detroit at a car plant and it is really eye opening and pretty great.

www.youtube.com...

It is mostly or an all-Black-American-panel and you can tell that normal, real people really like him in person because he actually cares.

This is a good view of his sense of humour and some key points that I applaud a lot

Senator James: 'you don't need to go to Venezuela to see the effects of socialism, just drive down a street in Detroit. Mr president I agree with you ... ' 'you signed a bill to repatriate our supply chain, from overseas way back in 2017...i appreciate your foresight sir ! we need to keep working on that' '

House Representative Whitsett 'we had a great community before, and we will have a great community again, I appreciate you working on that (sic) '

Edit to say, this topic is about not politics, but all Americans, and helping us all.

I feel for you.

You started a perfectly amicable thread and found it destroyed by leftist trolls.

Fascinating how easy it is for some people to do that without getting called out.

Well I tried, that's what counts.
I even explained why it was in 'Above' politics. I guess some people can't really rise above their emotions and see things logically.

So by your definition, Trump's EOs don't apply to corporations or ordinary people? So, when Trump EOed to stop flights from China, that only applied to the military and government flights?

When Trump EOed to stop abortions abroad, or he'd halt funding to various charities...that didn't apply to actual doctors and their patients, just American government workers?

President's or Governor's declaration which has the force of law, usually based on existing statutory powers, and requiring no action by the Congress or state legislature

Correct - except/unless in case they are pursuant to established law, or Constitutionally delegated power/authority.

Or, in the case of deregulation, the regulations his EOs abolish are no longer applicable/in effect.

So, when Trump EOed to stop flights from China, that only applied to the military and government flights?

No, that was pursuant to his Constitutionally delegated power - and additional laws already in place - to control the borders in times of emergency.

Ibid.

All of you answers apply to governors' EOs too. Especially this governor's, whose State is in a declared emergency, both locally and federally.

The president is NOT above the law, even though he and his accolades think he is.

Why did you not respond to the definition I supplied of "Executive Order"?

Since you clearly can't read or process words, especially in the highlighted portion, the plant is not an enclosed public space. It is a private company. Your point is irrelevant and it's still not a law to wear a mask.

Not to mention, if I'm not mistaken, the masks don't stop the particulates unless they're N95 masks or 3M which makes it equally irrelevant to wear one considering they don't specify which kind of mask is 'mandatory'.

The topic of the thread is Trump visiting a car plant in Michigan.

And while he was there, touring the plant, he flaunted the law and refused to wear a mask.

Trump lost his message when he changed the subject from jobs and American tenacity to a petty rebellion against authority.

Last time I checked, barbers and beauty parlors were also private businesses, yet the EO shuttered them.

This is from a letter to the White House, from the Attorney General of the State of Michigan, outlining the Executive Order and its legal requirements, issued by Governor Whitmer and upheld by the courts, asking the President to comply with the law requiring masks on the factory floor.

Governments do have the right to regulate "private business", which is what has been done at this Ford Plant. It's the law of the State and the policy adopted by the Company. Trump simply rebelled for petty reasons.

Do you live in Michigan ? If you don't you should move here to see first hand what BS the people of Michigan have to put up with . The people who put the Governor and Attorney General in office owe the rest of us an apology .

DETROIT (FOX 2) - Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stock appears to be rising as new polling data finds Michigan residents increasingly support her handling of the state's COVID-19 response.

Results from a statewide survey released by Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce found that almost two-thirds of individuals that were asked approved of Whitmer's actions.

It's the state law and the company's policy to wear masks in these factories. He's defying both.

An UnConstitutional Law is no law at all.

It's not "someone" it's the state's attorney general, you know, the chief law enforcer of the state

Yeah, its not like we've never seen an AG (State or Federal) who violates the law, believes they are above the law, or believes that their word is law...

Show the actual, written law as passed by the legislature.
