How do you feel that the President's visit today will increase job numbers?

I feel that him literally just being there obviously shines a light on not just the plant but on the work that they are doing.

The average person needs to see something with their own eyes to vote for it or support it.

I think the workers there will be more motivated.

I think that the average viewer will see it and want to go back to work. And not be hiding at home.

Are you familiar with the general state of the American auto industry?

I am familiar that it has been fighting against both China and Japan and Mexico for a long time.
I know that we have outsourced those manufacturing jobs at a crap pace for decades and it seems like Trump is trying to bring it back home.

If that''s really what you feel, and it's not just empty rhetoric, address that.

I think I did my best.

Tell us how this is going to help American workers.
See above.

Why aren't you and anyone else here talking about why I posted this?

It is above politics.

Apparently not.

This about creating jobs again and making sure we as a nation and economy stay relevant and strong.

Let's talk about the job numbers, and the plant itself, and what is actually going on in the video?

i am confused?

A bunch of dizzy old biddies.

I feel like I am teaching elementary school in Korea again....

Stay on topic and if you want to fight with your toys then you can go in the corner and I will make you stay there.

My apologies, I was more interested in remarking on the forum sliding going on than the actual topic, you should report me and I will take the hit.

I am unable to see the video you mention because it seems to be a video about the farmers losses due to Covid, and not the President's remarks.

Sorry.

Fair enough.

I think that refraining from threatening the people of Michigan with the loss of Federal relief funds might also help morale.

thats all you can say is fair enough?

at least you are polite when you know you are beaten.

I am not looking to win anything
I am looking to make us a united states again.

Nice passive aggressive crap too. thumbs up

The people of michigan hate their governor with good reason.

If you lived there i think you may agree.
Its one thing to read blurbs and watch crap on the net or tv but another to live under crap laws.

Yep.

7 posts in the first two pages about Trump and masks, you are running out of hate material I see.

This was an highly anticipated event. So much so that the AG wrote the White House a letter, asking them to comply with the State law.

Would he? All the talking heads were speculating. Now we know. The President, once again, and totally predictably, like a petulant child, placed himself above the law.

You pretty much hijacked a thread about Trump's good relationship with minorities in this case, for him not wearing a mask. LOL start another thread about him breaking a dubious state law, instead of hijacking away to totally ignore the point of the thread.

I'm "beaten" ... LOL

Wow, your insipid positivity crashed and burned fairly quickly, dinnit?

Gosh, and I had a tear in my eye after your little Trump ad.

Pfft.

The point of the thread was to discuss the ramifications of Trump's campaign visit today.

Last I checked, no ATS member has to get in line with what the OP (or anyone else in the thread) desires to include or exclude, right?

Stop trying to stiffle free speech.

Insipid positivity?

Do you hate positivity?

Do you prefer to hate and be depressed?

I enjoy those from time to time but not on a regular basis.

What is your point?

If I can remind you of what you yourself posted, it was about federal relief funds.

I don't think that Michigan needs many more as the good doctor in the video you watched said that they have quote beaten the curve and their hospitals are more empty.

What is your point once again?

That's politics sweetie.

It's breaking the State law. Do you approve of politicians flaunting State laws as campaign stunts?

Executive orders are NOT laws.

Positivity is great. Insipid hypocrisy masked as positivity is not.

My point is that if the President really wanted to help the people of Michigan, he wouldn't be making a campaign stop, taking advantage of his special status to ignore the need to wear a mask, and he sure as hell wouldn't be threatening the State with the loss of Federal funds because he thinks the Treasury is his personal piggy bank.

Executive orders issued by state governors are exactly the same as statutes passed by state legislatures and have the force of law, like in the federal system.

It seems like we have different world views and you don't understand that using federal funds for un-needed hospital funds is also fraud?

Preznit "I'm Above the Law" is NOT wearing a mask!

President Trump is tested every morning for covid-19. He will not give anybody covid-19, and takes hydroxychloroquine everyday to keep from Catching covid-19 himself.

That is called leading by example.... practicing what you preach.

A foreign concept to leaders in the Democratic Party.
