Food lines are not miles long

Yes they are

SHTF America

You mean they were.... not anymore
and that was from the MSM causing fear and panic buying.

Keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night, but it's only getting worse - food is going to be a weapon, the food lines are growing.

Spend Billions of Dollars to Defend Taiwan while Americans starve? - Not Smart.

Assuming they can cross the water in enough force, Im not sure they can also wouldn't be surprised to see some major wild cards in a conflict like that.

I am sure we have a few aces, china to... but will Vietnam and Japan and South Korea who all have a history of issues with china just stand by and do nothing, I dunno.
Yep, and India from the South...

This Chrojan virus will be the catalyst to many things ahead!! Whether it was released by accident or deliberately. If by accident and possibly opportunistically and conveniently allowed to spread across the globe when China could have shut their borders in Dec (no in/out). Knowing full well the impact of such a pandemic thus the benefits to China in the longer term.

We have the trade wars.

Lets not forget China's naval plans and expansion into the South China Sea, its continued intimidation of Taiwan.

I think China wants full control over Hong Kong and wants to invade Taiwan as soon as it feels it prudent to do so.

Now we have a dead 58 year old Chinese diplomat dead in his bed in Israel, natural causes or Mossad?

Its going to be an interesting few years I am sure.

CIA puppet state, kinda like Jordan and Qatar. Taiwan is pretty strategically important to American intelligence.

I would think a half dozen attack submarines could put one hell of a dent in any invasion force.
Especially with satellite coverage of the area for targeting.

How does it benafit them in the long run? The reason why China has risen to where they are now is because of their economy. And that economy is based on the trade they do outside if China.

So, what you are saying makes no sense at all. They are not going to invade Taiwan. Yes, certain people on here have thrown logic out the window regarding this, and most prob want China to invade
Taiwan.

Not going to happen. As for them strenghening their militery. Do you know bow many American bases are surrounding China at the moment? But that's ok right?

Yup forgot about India they were shooting at each other not long ago, untested poorly built (judging by the number of fires in the docks ) attempting a crossing under fire, cause yea while they can do a lot of damage with missiles, I am sure Taiwan has built hardened position at key locations to bomb the straight, then you have US subs.

Yea that crossing will be rough and I have no doubt more than just the US would respond, and if they used chemical or biological that opens numerous can of worms.

They are smart enough to know they need something easy to blood the navy before trying a rock like Taiwan.

those bases and our presence there is the only reason they've been so peaceful, however peaceful you can call their economic imperialism and manipulation of information against the US.

war isn't always about large scale violence and peace isn't always about pacifism, the world isn't so simple.

im chinese, my dad grew up in taiwan.

im an american, i could care less. its not america's job to police the world.

Actually, together with our allies, it IS pretty much our job to police the world. It’s why the world has generally seen a continuous improvement in quality of life and the absence of World War 3 for the last 75 years. As a practical matter, at the end of WW2, the US was the only country that could do it—our economy was the healthiest in the world, our national infrastructure was untouched, and of course we were the only nuclear power for about the first 5 years. If we hadn’t taken the leadership in trying to make the world peaceful and secure for our interests and the interests of other democracies, we would have basically been allowing the Soviet Union to try to make it over in their image, which they were aggressively trying to do. Should we have allowed that? Would that have resulted in a better world? Is that one that you would like to have lived in? Should we allow China to do that now?

Then they would have had a vote.

We are super good at actually winning a war if politics are not involved, but we suck as domination and occupation. That first needed step of killing all males over the age of 8 kind of gets hung up.

Yeah, but with 52 states off the North American continent and only 50 on it, who would call the shots?

You'd have to throw out lots of the Constitution and definitely the Electoral College, just to try and retain control (state rights being what they are).

False.

You posted three videos of spin, nice job.

Those are curbside pick ups, available to all, from RICH TO POOR.

We have food distribution out of middle schools here up the road.

We ourselves grab a couple when we are lazy and don't feel like cooking.

Tip, try not to post things and make assumptions, nevermind the fact that you're not an American, ignorance is no excuse.

Well. . . . that sucks.

So there's not going to be ANY war.

Please allow me to explain.

If China's got us beat so strongly with non-nuclear weapondry, then our only alternative would be to use nukes. If we use them, they'd use theirs.

M.A.D.

Hence, no war.

O it's not! They have not had to invade other countries or find terrorists to get where they are, unlike some countries. Their whole economy relies on their partnerships with the West, so why the hell would the throw that all away?

war isn't always about large scale violence and peace isn't always about pacifism, the world isn't so simple.

Any country who is not an ally, will always be a threat. Esp one that is on the brink of becoming the next super. Yes, from the west you will see fear mongering and propaganda.

Do you read in the news everyday about how the American government are helping the Saudi's and the horrors they are doing in Yemen? Of course not!

I brought this up a month or so ago. China cracked down super hard, as soon as they figured out they could use this to their advantage. They been going into overdrive while other countries have been on lockdown and arguing over politics.

I don't know about South Korea, but I know as peace loving as Japan as seemed the past few decades they probably won't sit idle for long.

If Japan jumps into the fray, I don't know. A lot of Asian countries still have beef with Japan.

But I'm no expert and have been out of the military games for a while.

I'm an Australian citizen.

Australia is an independent country, but like the majority of countries who gained independence from the British Empire, we did it without a war, and by mutual agreement.

As for New Zealand, where I currently reside, the move to independence was even less contentious than Australia's (if such were possible).
