Thanks man, I can't take that much credit as a reddit thread and Bellingcat piece did a lot of the leg work.

I merely condensed it down to some of the things that stood out to me, but I highly encourage people to at least check out the Bellingcat piece. As always, grains of salt and all that.

I personally don't have a theory I lean towards seeing how bizarre this is.

It's very strange indeed. Hard to fathom that not 1, but 2 ex special forces would be a part of something so ill conceived. They should have known how bad it was before it ever got started.

Have the 2 guys actually been verified as ex military?

I have a buddy whom is a 1n0x1, I think thays what it's still labeled as. Anyway, he didn't give me an official statement (a statement from the inside) but he did let me know how many things were out of place and just strange, from his personal opinion. One of the things I've seen mentioned is the American flag on the helmet. Also the equipment is off. A lot of their tech is outdated and just doesn't make sense for the mission. For example, the Kindle? They're going on an op not vacation. Also the gun in the case does seem to be real, it's just the light which can be seen on the other objects, making the tip brighter and the camera just shot it weird. Also the bright orange life vests don't lend themselves to stealth.

Based on my conversation with him. These guys were either a false flag or a sacrifice. Either way I do believe more is at hand than meets the eye.

Also the fact that it was daylight, and if they were serious about completing their mission, taking out a couple fisherman in Venezuela, wouldn't be much of a problem, or an issue.

I imagine if they were not ex military, the US would be quick to point that out.... But that's just personal inclination.

If we believe the Twitter account of Silvercorp is real, they tweeted these guys were ex Green Berets.

Per Bellingcat, we also have this tidbit.

On the evening on Sunday, May 3, the Silvercorp Twitter account tweeted that a “strikeforce incursion” into Venezuela was still underway despite the losses earlier that day. The tweet also revealed that two members of this strike force were U.S. citizens, while also trying to get the attention of U.S. President Donald Trump:

Confirmation of the participation of two U.S. citizens in the operation came from the @Carive15 Twitter account, which Javier Quintero confirmed is the official portal of the operation. The account tweeted out an image of three haggard-looking men aboard a boat, two of whom are looking at the camera

Green Berets would also fit the specialty of training native troops to become an insurgency.

As for the ID, maybe they had that in case things went south. I saw someone comment today that live Americans with Passports are worth more than dead guys with no ID... And while that doesn't count as proof to explain something that seems off to most people when reading this story, it does offer a different angle I have to humor.

One theory I forgot to add was that the mission was from the start planned to fail. Whether that be by the backers of Silvercorp, or the leadership of the company itself. That would lend the question as to why they would want to fail.

This is one of the oddest parts of all this. No matter what the angle of the whole thing, why an airsoft gun? It makes no sense, and is just a risk.

WTF?
Ok this is clearly a set up. At this point you may as well have a DJI TOY painted as a predator drone in the American flag scheme with a speaker blaring God Bless the USA. Or put George Washington himself in a rowboat standing up holding the American flag invading Venezuela. It's obvious at this point.

This is not a US lead attack.

Great work at getting info as always Critical Thinker!!!

Okay I stand corrected on that point, it was just my own observation. But yeah. I think all the evidence adds up that this is either a set up, or and actual operation (poorly calculated) that the Venezuelan government just threw random crap in the picture to make it seem more devious.

I'd go one step further and say it's clearly a PsyOps, but by whom?

The airsoft doesn't make sense though. If we say this was someone trying to make this look like a US lead incursion, why risk having something so obvious stand out like this? Hell, it's probably easier to get an actual rifle than it is an airsoft gun for many foreigners.

If we look at this from the Merc company, again, they have access to rifles... The only thing I could think of is that they were training certain natives and had airsoft guns for some of their training... But why would this make it to combat? Maybe they were trying to fool someone they didn't trust and hand it of pretending its real, but why not ditch the red tip and make it more convincing.

I think we'll have to read between the lines. I'm going to be interested to see what Venezuela's approach is in the coming days... And will the US try to get these gents back.

Wow, finally watched this gem floating around in some of the stories.

In an interview with a Spanish journalist on May 3rd, the CEO of Silvercorp Goudreau seems bent out of shape Guaido never paid the 1.5 million dollar retainer outlined the alleged contract. (He also claims that the operation is still ongoing, and that cells have activated, lol).

Shortly thereafter, Goudreau was interviewed by Venezuelan journalist Patricia Poleo for Factores de Poder. In the bizarre interview, Goudreau said that despite having signed a contract with Guaidó, “the opposition hurt us more than they helped us” in part because they never paid him. Goudreau said that the opposition failed to even pay him the $1.5 million retainer that he had asked for, but that he nevertheless decided to continue to render the services of his company because he is a “freedom fighter” and “this is what [freedom fighters] do.”

Just gets weirder and weirder.

Imagine if this turns out like another Bay of Pigs Fiasco?
Remember how it turned out for the President back then.
One coup to take away the attention of another coup. If it worked back then, why not now. Don`t fix it if it aint broke.
Just putting it out here...

Too hard to say now who's behind it.

With everything the way it is... It would be just as easy to argue or spin this from almost every angle.

Funny innit? Almost convenient.

How incompetent can you get?

Well as pointed out, we left American flags patches, a pick ax or two, airsoft toys, an out dated kindle, passports identifying Americans, a Canadian leader... etc etc etc. With infinitive info pointing at the United States of America.

Convenient don't you think?

Or is there a great game of chess happening?
