They are not doing that. Those stories are just people ranting because it's getting worse every day and they are scared.
So they tell themselves stories like this so they can sleep in blissful ignorance. Pretending it's not really bad. Plus you know...rah rah trump.

No not mostly defective.
Like most tests for virus. It can be false negative if there's not enough virus present in the sample or if the administrator didn't preform the test correctly. They were good enough for preliminary testing in any event and would have put us ahead of this but of course we had to wait for something that would benefit the U.S. thus glorifying trump so he could pin another medal to his chest, to hell with people dying. People die every day right? Can't use a test we didn't approve of. No.

The governor's who issued stay at home orders and the cooperation of smart Americans in complying with those orders is what is working.

Here in Berrien County Southwest Michigan it's pretty quiet. 8 Deaths with 5 in the same Terminal Patient home. 55 Cases I believe and Michigan deaths below 70 a day plus the add on ones that have it but died of something else. Businesses will be opening May 1 the governor is going to announce something but the plan is May 1 for most of everything.

New ways of doing business but the China flu was slowed to a standstill. I start back to work Monday and none of the factories around here even closed down. Won't take long to get back up to speed.

Summer rentals can start Memorial weekend.

But we're a super power and should not have been blindsided by this.
Our response stradgies, which we had shared around the world were completely ignored by our own people.

Impeachment ended in the first week of February. But you are correct in assuming his delinquent response was due to the impeachment because he sure ignored all the early warnings.

Because the South Koreans follow the advice of their government. Also the following helped them a lot.
South Korea took rapid, intrusive measures against Covid-19 – and they worked

In the U.S. it is not the same due to Constitutional rights. A lot of Americans are very distrustful of the government, even when they voted for the present POTUS.

In South Korea most people do not distrust their government and would follow any advice given by their government.

We have more testing in numbers of tests but not in the precentage of tests per capita.
There we are sadly lacking.
Only a tiny percentage of Americans have been tested or even had testing available.

The US has no effective protocols to deal with this

They had them but they were thrown away, along with the people who knew how to implement them.

Meh FYI folks take it from me being a buisness man in an essential service, the economy, is bad............... very very bad..

Yeah, that's kind of what happens when an insane policy like 'shutting down the economy' is implemented.

So why does South Korea have 30 times fewer deaths then us and their economy is in better shape.
a reply to: ras321

Nationalized HEALTH Care.

No, actually, it is for two reasons - they are not artificially inflating the numbers on either side, and they are actually using treatments on those who get really sick that work (like IV vitamin C).

Interestingly, while they do have a National Healthcare offered for free at point of service, it also allows for a choice of modern and/or natural/traditional treatments, not just modern, which would also explain a much lower death rate.

If we were to simply implement two things: strong recommendations for vitamin supplementation with C, D3, K2, E, Zinc, Selenium and Magnesium, as well as high dose IV Vitamin C for anyone who encountered the cytokine storm, our deaths would drop to nil.

People are dying because the medical mafia, represented by fascist Fauci and his ilk, refuse to promote natural therapies that are proven to work, because it would ensure their destruction. He/they are guilty of crimes against humanity.

People are suggesting he should of made sweeping moves back in Jan through Feb. So can you tell us what sweeping moves he failed to do in that time period? Just give me like 3 to 5 that you feel he failed at.

Projections look like we are going to be worse then Europe but yes i agree let's do like South Korea.

Projections??!!??? I've been compiling a database of all currently reported data. From Johns Hopkins, and the Covid Tracking Project.

So far there is NOT ENOUGH DATA to make any sort of projections...sorry man, 40 - 60 data points simply isn't enough...yet.

S Korea solved this by testing. I really do not buy the argument that the wealthiest country in the world could not have gotten on top of this by testing everyone.

Here is a wee statistic on testing; the USA has tested more than ANY other country to date...1.0895% as of 4/17/2020. S. Korea on the other hand has tested 1.06%...about the same, except; S. Korea has tested about 550,000 and the US around 3.58 million, S. Korea test about 10,000 people per day, the US over 100,000.

Up until now (April 2020) there has NOT been a real test for Covid-19, now there is a test that can actually know IF you have been exposed, but it is new, and NOBODY has been using it yet. It is expected that within a month or so they can manufacture several hundred thousand of these tests. So the response is held up by industry, and the ability of science to actually find a solution, and not by the Government.

I can't speak for the UK, but I do know, if you died in a car accindent in the states, right now. . . you'd be dead due to Covid.

Why do you continue with that lie? On one hand you say they aren't testing and are assuming its COV-19. Then you say that they are testing car accident deaths and labeling them COV-19. No one in this world should ever really bother listening to you. Just about everything you post is pure conjecture or a misunderstanding of the facts.

How could we screw this up this bad. Instead of making America great, the powers that be have made us into weaklings. We had advance notice but somehow we are handling it worse then Italy and other European countries. Why is South Korea so much better then us at handling this? They have 229 deaths in a country of 51 million. If we want to get in control of this why not just copy the South Korean model. There are no excuses for this colossal failure and while there is plenty of blame to go around the fact is our president is the biggest failure in this country right now and he needs to get out of office before he ends up letting more people die. If not, he needs his feet to the fire to actually implement a system that works meaning step aside and let the experts make the decisions.

The Fact that you think Pres.Donald J Trump actually has anything to do with Covid-19, the deaths or any of it . Just shows how far out of your own depth you truly are.

Yes Impeach him , Bash him , Point out 50 different things that " HE '' did wrong . That's what they want , That is what he is there for to take the blame.

You wanna blame someone , Follow the Power and the Money . Who stands to make money from this pandemic, Who stands to consolidate more power from this pandemic? Pay attention to all the research put in by all of the ATS members , all of the topics, the replies and you may just get your answer .

I'm throwing you little hints if you pay attention to what I'm saying .

We are a consumer society. Korea is a smaller country with a smaller population that still has a heavy manufacturing base yup fall back on. Not to mention the amount of travel and commerce thats was going and coming before China let the world know. Maybe had the Cdc been allowed to assess the situation earlier we may have had a leg up on a virus that's been circulating since october of last year. Notice northern Italy had a huge issue...why...a huge amount of chinese workers who where relocated to Milan to work in tanneries and the fashion industry. But that just br a coincidence. We started ogf slow and with out proper Intel. Any military operation executed under those condition is sure to yeild a high casualty percentage. Just my opinion. a reply to: ras321

The political powers that pull the strings know this all so well.
Give a man a fish, and you can rule him; teach a man to fish, and you’re out of a job!

So as I look down the rabbit hole I don't see a government response as a total failure..........For them.

Its what they set out to do, or at least take advantage of a good opportunity on a buyers market.

2 trillion dollars stimulus package. give me a break that's a number they pulled out of their head for the sheep to feel like they have to pay it back.
Turn public opinion toward fascism, and glorify collectivism.

I see Increase dependency

Mission accomplished.

The leadership lapse started when Trump killed the pandemic team and pulled the observers out of China, so his rich supporters could get a big tax cut.
