Been away from the thread for quite some time now but just wanted to ask:

If it's not a new wuhan Flu killing people... then what is it?

I ask this because there are still numerous people who say this Covid-19 doesn't exist and if it doesn't exist, either the whole thing is a lie or there's something else killing these people.

Gotta wonder if it's just normal flu as the numbers dying from normal flu has diminished quite considerably... in fact I read online some headline which said 'is covid-19 killing off normal flu'.

Make of that what you will.

The Guardian Live Feed has a list of some countries that have broken records today (there are more) :

We’ve now got more figures, all of which point in the same grim direction. Here’s an updated list of the countries we’re aware of where new records have been set today, the most recent additions first.

•23 deaths in Croatia, a record, and 2,378 cases, against a previous record of 2,421.

•1,586 cases and 36 deaths in Bosnia and Herzegovina, both records.

•2,569 cases in Bulgaria, a record, and 25 deaths.

•125 cases in Estonia, a record. (Estonia’s rate is among the lowest in Europe.)

•5,343 cases and 107 deaths in Romania, both records.

•18,820 infections in Poland, a record, and 236 deaths.

•15,663 infections in Czech Republic, a record.

•14,964 infections in Germany, a record, and 85 deaths.

•8,616 infections in Switzerland, a record.

•2,605 infections in Slovenia, a record.

•346 deaths in Russia, a record, and 16,202 infections.

•165 deaths in Ukraine, a record, and 7,474 infections.

•415 deaths in Iran, a record, and 6,824 infections.

Oh, and France is going to be doing like Germany, apparently locking down from Friday evening (9pm or Midnight) for four weeks.
People would be able to return from Hols until Sunday Midnight.
Its sounding like the whole country will be locked down, not just regions.

will know more in one hour.
(Businesses have already been briefed, and some have let the news slip, although info can be lost in transit)

Yeah, so its tomorrow evening at 9pm for those of us in France under curfew currently, midnight for those not under curfew atm.
Lockdown until 1st December, so 5 weeks.
Need a signed paper to go about your business outside of your home.
Essential work only, so most places will be shut anyway.
Bars, Restaurants, etc, will only be able to do delivery or take-aways, so most will shut.
Shopping for Clothes and non-essential stuff will probably be closed, we'll find out I suppose.

My workplace isn't essential, so I can't see it staying open.
Will find out more tomorrow at work.

A case does not mean an illness, or an infection. IT just means the virus is present. Virus and bacteria are present on our bodies all the damn time. Doesn't mean we are sick. It's why we have immune systems. This is BS

So this lockdown for you in France, does that mean you will not be allowed to leave your house at all except for, say, one hour of exercise or to get food/meds and thats it?

I'm just taking a stab at this :

In the 1918 Flu pandemic (very similar to now aprat from Flu/CoronaVirus) had similar traits.
The Second wave was the worst.

It's quite visible for Europe atm that the sh!t has really hit the fan.
There are at least 5 strains of Covid.

Maybe Flu can't infect someone with Covid, and vica-versa ?
Could the Flu be a cure/palliative ?

yes, we can't go out unless it's for shopping for food/meds, and stuff like that.
Basically you will have to fill out a form either on paper, or on your phone, and present that when asked.
You'll only get asked when on the road to or from the site.

No one at home here is against it.
It's what worked to stop the spread in the spring.
Ideally, it needs to come with a large spread testing scheme too, but not sure there's the Equipment/doses for that nationally.

In Ile-de-France, our ICU units are 70%+ full atm.
In two weeks there will be no ICU beds left for any new patients, Covid, or otherwise.
It's happening all over France in some way or another.
They are already moving patients to other hospitals geographically, where there are less cases, again.

5 strains now? Well, a vaccine won't help then will it??

Winter is yet to come and i figure it will get worse in colder climate!

Looking at the latest data on Nextstrain.org (14th October 2020) Covid-19A and 19B seem to have maybe run their course.
Only Covid-20A, B and C to look forward to.

A vaccine will help for maybe one of the strains, maybe more.
I'm not very knowledgable on that stuff, but I do know that there are some radically different vaccines on the market.

Our problem is that this thing has the whole planet as it's petri dish.
desert, temperate climate, cold, and it has 8 Billion plus subjects to feck with.
The probabilities of mutation are huge, and almost any scenario is possible, if not probable, considering the numbers.

Look at the mouse-overs in the two caps above, top one (Australia) Has no mutations, the bottom one, (UAE) has lots of them.
It's not got anything to do with where, or when, it just happens a lot, some, or not.
I think thats basically 'Nature' doing it's thing, and that would be a good explanation.

Comes also on the day of various (and attempted) terror attacks on France including a beheading outside a Catholic church.

Also this is just crazy

Fauci: Early COVID-19 vaccines will only prevent symptoms, not block the virus

So 80% have no symptoms already but still need a vaccine? Not impressed is anyone else?

We have a virus which is able to spread so quickly because many of the infected remain asymptomatic and the ‘experts’ answer is to inject people with something that makes everyone asymptomatic...

That will only ensure an even larger infection rate - possibly 100%!

Maybe folk won’t develop the known symptoms, but what about the unknown one’s, since we still know very little about long term effects. This may well be the dumbest move Science ever made.

Nice to see you, hope you've avoided the bug to your knowledge and have been following the supplement protocol being out of the natural sunlight generator rays now. I am and further south than you but a lot colder.

Right,

This may well be the dumbest move Science ever made.

We are going to get a shot that if works no-one knows about it, as there is no symptoms from having the virus in us.
Until the reaction from compromised immune systems or overreacting storm.

Sounds great all the lock downs, economic, mental health and the missed diagnostic for the same result as a course of vitamins, minerals and a few cups of nettle tea.

Faucci is probably upset that his investments in Remdesivir failed again - no good for 2 major virus now.

ok, didn't know that.

Saying in the online news now that Boris has missed the chance to save many lives by not going into another total lockdown and i beleive SAGE to be correct. Many more deaths to come from this virus... whatever it is.
