It seems that Hydochloroquine works by blocking ports in cell walls that the virus uses to access the cell machinery to replicate...no access then no replication and no critical mass to overwhelm the host.

You've got it backwards. This treatment does not work for Covid.
Dr. Anthony Cardillo said he has seen very promising results when prescribing hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc for the most severely-ill COVID-19 patients. "Every patient I've prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8 to 12 hours, they were basically symptom-free," Cardillo told Eyewitness News. "So clinically I am seeing a resolution."

Or you can start drinking tonic water now instead of soda. It has Quinine HCl for taste and might help prevent the virus from taking hold.
It is bitter though.

Here you go Trump has got it stockpiled and is sending it out, with the best minds advising him. Take it early when you have flue like symptoms and watch this disease start going fast.

Just so we are clear here, though Im not a doctor, using zinc ionophores and zinc is not a preventative measure even if it might be effective. Its a targeted treatment, after the virus enters the system.
Preventative measures are just as you say! Rather disappointed that so few are talking about trying to get our immune systems in tip-top shape and then going from there. A lot of industries depend on it being this way though..
