Dont know if they voted for it or not.
But its congress that gets to write the bill. He just gets to approve or disapprove.

And, the amount of money that celebs and athletes get for their "jobs" has always struck me as just plain stupid. and makes me wonder about the collective intelligence of the world that we give them ridiculous amounts of money.

You answered your own question. A football player who has a million fans and makes a million dollars a year is only costing their fans $1 a piece. A pittance. A movie star that 10 million people wants to see can make $10 million on a movie and only raise the ticket price by $1.

It's called "economics of scale."

Better, that is something we can all work with!

Since I'm losing about $70 a day in revenue from my Lyft transportation business, the 2,000 would definitely help fill the void.

I was more concerned about Nancy Pelosi telling the US House to stay in recess beyond the end of this month. Usually it is the US House that controls the purse strings.

Nope, not unless we want to pay a mechanic for it.

There is a law against "spraying for 'skeeters" (puffing out a visible cloud of smoke from the exhaust that causes birds to drop dead in mid-flight), but it's not enforced much. Oil got too expensive to burn like that.

Yeah I love all these folks saying this is a waste and they don't need the money. You know damn well better than 90% of the people saying that will keep it. Very few will do the right thing and donate it when it comes.

I've paid my taxes since I was 15.

And there is no "free" money, the money comes from the taxes working people pay.

And yah, he is right to not give wealthy people money, this is for people who will be HURTING due to no fault of their own.
