Im not real worried. I don't have gray hair. Ive heard that 70 percent of the deaths are in those with gray hair. Most of us will be just fine

There's something BIG Brewing. People sense it, but aren't sure what it is. CoronaVirus is the only VISIBLE threat, so it gets all the attention until the real reason for the disturbance in the force is known.

Optimism is nice but it isn't looking that way. The runs you see on the store are the 10-15% of people who have become aware of the situation and the coming shortages. When the other 85-90% catch on, it will not be pretty.

Italy's numbers are not looking good. 10% of patients require ICU for weeks. With the projected exponential doubling every 6 days, All US hospitals will be over-saturated by the first week of May.

85% of our generic drugs are from India. India has locked down and is not exporting these drugs currently. Shortages of prescription meds are about to happen which will compound problems.

So many people have COPD including myself, our lungs are cloudy as a storm filled sky. The only good news it seems a that our lungs are damaged in a way that deters the virus from hosting, difficulties latching on apparently . This alone steers me away from a man made virus....

I don't know about 2 billion people. But I can tell you that my two children had h1n1. It was tested and diagnosed. Now I live In small town midwest and I can tell you it was no hoax.

Just sayin. If I dont believe that one, then I migh have a hard time believing any more of those "former employee" testimonials.

This is the flu. A new flu, but the flu all the same.

No, it's not a flu virus actually.

Let's compare the two and perhaps I may shed some light on why covid-19 is much more dangerous than influenza. But first I want to make a few points.

Buying some extra supplies isnt panicking. The WHO and the CDC actually told us to prepare for a pandemic. Buying some supplies would be part of the preparation process. People should have an emergency supply of water and non perishable foods anyway for any emergency that may come whether it be a hurricane, war, economic collapse, pandemic or whatever.

With that out of the way let's compare this covid -19 to the flu.

The flu -
Influenza has an R.0. Value of 1.3 (this means that for every person that gets infected they will infect 1.3 other people on average). At this infection rate the flu infects about 13% of the U.S. population every year killing about 14k people a year. This gives the flu a mortality rate of about .04%.

Covid-19 -
covid-19 has an R.0. Value of 4.7 - 6.6. It is projected to infect 60% - 80% of the population of the world. Even with the low-ball mortality rate of 3.4% we are looking at a death toll of 7,600,000 people in the United States alone. This is a far cry from the 14k people that will die from the flu.

This is why people are concerned. They have a damn good reason. This ain't no flu. This is the real deal folks, we are at the beginning stages of a pandemic and we should all be preparing just as the WHO and the CDC has asked us to do.

All my numbers are accurate and come from the World Health Organization and from the Centers for Disease Control.

At 2 week cycles that's 8 weeks from 1 m, so if the Chinese hadn't shut down we'd be seeing it already , so / but then that'd be incoming right about now or very shortly , and have little relation to official testing .

We guess this is it then or is that a wrong assumption ?
