I use my phone so can't post link. I haven't seen this posted and don't know how reliable the source. GNews reports that flu cases in China increased over one million cases in December 2019 compared to December 2018.

Yes, it may not come through in my posts, but my primary worry/concern is for the chinese people, and what may be happening there for the regular people, and how the CCP's response is likely to cause a lot of pain and suffering for them.

Yes... thanks for finding the quote.
Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the Center for the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said Tuesday that Americans should talk to their children’s schools about contingency education and childcare plans and tele-working options at work if community spread is reported in the U.S. When asked by a reporter on a conference call if her tone had changed compared to previous calls, Messonnier said: “The data over the last week and the spread in other countries has certainly raised our level of concern and our level of expectation that we are going to have community spread here ... That’s why we are asking folks in every sector and in their families to plan for this.”
“We really want to prepare the American public for the possibility that their lives will be disrupted because of this pandemic,” Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, told reporters.
