Yeah I can dial into beijing and shanghai and all my equipment in those datacentres/offices are reachable.

From everything I am seeing it makes more sense than some bat meat in a wet market. When you have a level 4 bio lab what kind of things are you going to do there?

So did it get out on purpose or accident? The Wuhan bio lab does have a reputation of contamination leaks in the past, nothing this big though. It is hard to believe the government done it on purpose, but with the lack of response once a breach was detected is disturbing. There are strong measures taken now closing down cities and such. Either way this storm is still build up. It is the countries not reporting any infections that are at more risk at this time, there is little to no real infrastructure to deal with it.

One component to this virus I have not heard much about is why the white blood cell count does drop for those affected. Binding to the ACE2 receptor has had heaps of discussion. The HIV components added to the virus helps with this binding process. Does this HIV addition also help the virus bind to the white blood cells? I don't know, it is just a thought and trying to piece together some of the reports coming out.

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - China’s central bank unexpectedly lowered the interest rates on reverse repurchase agreements by 10 basis points on Monday, as authorities stepped up measures to relieve pressure on the economy from a rapidly spreading virus outbreak.

The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) said on its website that it was lowering the 7-day reverse repo rate CN7DRP=CFXS to 2.40% from 2.50%, and cutting the 14-day tenor CN14DRP=CFXS to 2.55% from 2.65% previously.

I missed this, they threw a lot at the economy to try and stop it from sinking..

Its up 1% at the moment.. feels like a dead cat bounce
