I wonder what is happening in china with beloved pets?
10,000 People Quarantined in Vietnam because of the Coronavirus
Vietnam announced Thursday that a 10,000 people will be quarantined because of concerns about the spread of the new coronavirus, AFP reported. "As of February 13, 2020, we will urgently implement the task of isolation and quarantine of the epidemic area in Son Loi commune," a health ministry statement said. The quarantine period is 20 days. So far, there are 15 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Vietnam, five of them in Son Loi commune.

Villages with a population of 10,000 are quarantined over coronavirus fears in Vietnam - the first mass isolation outside of China - after six cases are discovered
The lockdown of 10,000 people is the first major quarantine outside mainland China since the outbreak began. Police officers in face masks were today guarding checkpoints in the farming region of Son Loi with villagers facing 20 days in quarantine. The drastic measures have been imposed after a sixth case of the virus was confirmed in Son Loi today, in addition to five who were already infected.
Health officials wearing protective suits sprayed disinfectant on vehicles by the checkpoints. Villager Tran Van Minh told AFP that authorities had already advised residents to avoid large gatherings. 'Life has been badly affected,' he said, adding that much of the labour force is reliant on jobs in construction and house painting. 'Now we cannot get out and even if we do, clients don't welcome us that much as before.'

EU meeting that was scheduled for today is starting in 30 min, with a press conference in about 3-4 hours.
yesterday there as a pdf online with the agenda of today's and yesterdays meetings. It showed all the points they will be discussing for each subject. Under Covid19 it said : "discussion about violations of human rights and freedom"
Today the file is gone and nothing of any sorts is showing in the public/press files...

At this point I'd like to ask a question that some may find superflous and others may have asked themselves the same thing.
We are obviously talking a lot about human casualties or the quarantine, but when I pondered today what we would do if we were quarantined, I could not help getting worried about our animals.
Their food would soon run out and their bedding and poop litter.
We love them as our children [no children, I prefer animals], so I wouldn't know what to do. Would we have to watch them starve, would we have to put them down?
To me this is actually more scary than me catching this virus. After all, even if we don't catch it but are in quarantine, the animals will suffer just from the human panic alone and not from any illness.
I wonder what is happening in china with beloved pets?
I can imagine that a few ruthless people will just murder them, some even eat them. But what about those that really rely and love their pets?
I don't want stupid answers, or attempts at 'humour', I am really upset about this [yeah, I do care about animals just as much as humans, so bite me].
If you have a dog or cat or horse or anything that you love dearly because they are their own little persons, imagine being in quarantine and what might happen to them. Considering a lot of people will say 'they are ONLY animals', they have no rights nor will anyone care. Well I do!
We have a number of cats, dogs, hogs, cows, chickens etc. We are taking this seriously and are stocking up on food for them all. So far we have 3 months stored and will be upping this to 6 months in the next few days. This will include cat litter, bin bags etc. We would buy these things anyway over time so it’s not wasted money. All you can do is prepare, stock up and hope it isn’t as bad as some fear. I’m on the fence currently, but it’s wise to prepare. Doesn’t hurt and better now than when actual panic erupts.
I have a 90 day supply for my pets. This virus is artificially designed for 3 major cycles approx. 14-28 days per cycle. There is chatter that this could have a 4th cycle, but i can't confirm that yet.
edited to add: this is an intentional release of an artificial virus. This was not released by China

I feel you, got the same worries. Trying to build up some extra food supplies for them in the short term. Long term we just have to take things a day at a time.
If it feels like this virus is going to get the better of me, opening up what food is available for them will help keep them going for a bit longer. One option I am considering. I despise that empty feeling of a cull, it is another option. Do I give them a quick death or a slow one? What impacts will there be if i leave it to someone else? Just how responsible is it to open the door and just let them go? Lots of things and worries to consider.

NEW: Japan reports another case of coronavirus in a man in his 20s; it's unknown how he was infected
Japan has reported 4 new cases of coronavirus in the past few hours. In all 4 cases it's not clear how they were infected.

Please stop this nonsense.
As I've said from the start I believe we are witnessing the beginning of the most catastrophic event in the history of mankind, but even I think you're full of it and trying to big yourself up.
You've gone from being asked to do a study for a quaratine building, to then having a network of spies around the world feeding you "inside, secret knowledge", to now stating as a matter of fact that this is "artificially designed" and has "3 major cycles - and maybe 4 but "you need to confirm that".
What next?
You have a friend who is a plumber and had to change a washer in a tap in the staff kitchen at an office owned by NASA, and now he's got people feeding him secret info on space aliens and moon bases?
Honestly if you lot are taking this guy seriously you need a check up from the neck up.

The not released by China bit could have serious implications and is something I worry about.
Logically, if it was a deliberate bioweapon release, it would not have been done by China.
I am in Australia, if anything happened along those lines I have always thought they would head this way.
Appreciate the heads up.
