Thank you for making such an important thread topic and allowing me to share my experiences and ideas.
It's rare on ATS to discuss things that actually matter for our lives as much as something like this.
I just wish more people were aware of how vital it is to examine themselves honestly.
Thank you for taking this thread to the next level by being open enough to share your struggles with arrogance and why you think you had them.
Looking inward to ones own psyche and figuring out why you behave the way you do ,is key to moving forward in a healthier way... and you’re correct
in saying not enough people do it honestly.
I also think it’s wonderful that you rarely get angry these days.. and have learned to not bother trying to change people, as well as not letting
their differences of opinions matter to you.
A counsellor once told me something very similar to what you said ,about only being able to change ourselves. It still
doesn’t make it easy to deal with outside negative forces that try and tear you down.. but working on not letting it affect you, and reacting in
hurt ,is so important... because like you said.. it solves nothing in the end.
