One of the eight people infected in the UK is a British man who caught the virus at a conference in Singapore and travelled to a ski resort in France.
He was diagnosed in Brighton, and is being treated at St Thomas' Hospital in London.
He has been linked to five of the other cases - four of which were announced on Monday.
In addition to the eight cases in the UK, five British nationals tested positive in France following the Brighton man's trip to the ski resort.

The wording and punctuation of this post always concerned me but I couldn't put my finger on why... then I remembered the children's nursery rhyme Ring a ring o' Roses:

We all fall down = MSM and CIA in Q110.
Whatdya reckon?
The Bank of England’s gold vaults hold £194bn worth of gold bars.
If you stacked them all on top of each other, they would be the same height as 46 Eiffel Towers.
They hardly ever let anyone in to film, but the BBC’s Frank Gardner has been given access to the Bank of England’s gold vault.

Another odd BBC news item today:
The video ends with the statement that the vault has NEVER been robbed since the Bank was founded in 1694.
Also interesting that all the Gold was moved to Canada for safe-keeping during World War II - I wonder if it all made it back.

Rel, you may know this, but that "pocket full of posies" bit has long been suspected to be a reference to the type of plague [ETA: Bubonic plague] that caused the body to develop, I guess they could be called, large welts. The swelling of the body filled out the pockets ...
Awards season 2020 · Last night Eminem’s surprise Lose Yourself performance at the Oscars was 17 years in the making Seventeen years after winning an Oscar for Lose Yourself, Eminem gave a surprise performance of the song at the 2020 Oscars. Eminem didn't attend the show to collect the award in 2003, and some were confused as to why he performed the song at Sunday's show.

The Bank was founded by Royal Charter in 1694, following the Glorious Revolution of 1688. William III, of Orange and Queen Mary had ascended to the throne following the revolution. Queen Mary died in 1694, the year of the bank’s founding but her husband’s expensive wars left the country’s finances in a mess.
