China is using HIV drugs to treat the deadly coronavirus as experts search for a cure, according to a report.

Beijing officials with China’s National Health Commission said two drugs used to combat HIV are being recommended to treat pneumonia symptoms from the virus, Bloomberg reported.

Patients are being advised to take tablets of lopinavir and Ritonavir twice a day, the outlet reported.

For me, your post is just more evidence that this virus is engineered.

They're using HIV drugs to fight it because it was engineered with HIV components.

I hate it when people lie to my face.

Seems that's become our society now - no civility, constant lies, empty apologies.

This is not the dream of the Founding Fathers. Thank God they had the foresight to write a document that would try to protect us from those with no moral compass.

Doesn't help though when the cancer is so deeply embedded.

Late last week, he spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, about the emerging coronavirus threat.

“The HIV protease inhibitors may be active on coronavirus,” he said. “The Chinese government already has asked for access to these medicines, but we need to prove that they work. That could be a few days to a few weeks.”

CT, yeah, it is hard to avoid the impression that at least part of what we're hearing about the virus is Happy HS.

Part of that, no doubt, is that too little information is available for the "authorities" to say anything definitive. But there is also IMO well-founded suspicion that statements to the public will play down any danger because the last thing the bosses want is a mass panic.

Seems to be two classes of events to watch.

One are the cases outside of China -- how do they progress and do those countries get mass outbreaks;

Two, is if the other countries more or less prevent the pandemic from getting out of control outside of China, will the mess in China mutate a different, even more lethal variety of the virus that begins a second, more vicious wave of infection?
