Drugs are usually bought from people, so if we kill all the people, we can solve the drug problem.

And remember, all this is because a guy who's single goal was to get New Zealand to ban firearms, killed some people and his reward was he got exactly what he wanted. I've said this before, perhaps this nice man could have just wrote a letter, and asked that they ban firearms, then many lives, including his could have been saved. It seems the banning of these weapons was something the public wanted to do anyway.

Remember, if you are afraid of someone stealing your stuff, just get rid of your stuff. Derp.

The real solution is easy.

Make it mandatory for everyone to own a weapon, make it mandatory to be trained on it, make it mandatory that everyone have at least a little bit of military experience.

The firearms confiscation in NZ was a total failure. An extremely tiny amount of firearms were handed in. Less than a third of projected numbers.

I don't really have an issue with an armed citizenry, at the same time I have no issue with there being restrictions on said weaponry.

Yeah the stock is banned
The bullpup stock for pistols is also going to be banned

Semi auto .22 and shotguns are not banned. Even ‘military style’ ones (which will scare some people, because they are black, like Rambo’s one, so that means they’re designed to kill people). Limit is ten round magazine.
Lever action is not banned. Limit to factory magazine capacity only.
No change at all in any of their pistol laws

‘All military style semi automatic centre fire rifles are banned’ is pretty much the change

So the actual effect it will have on ANY future gun crime is absolutely zero. That cannot be argued.
