Chanterelles and champignons. Sometimes some more flavored forest mushrooms.

I do not know, or remember, their preferred food source. I think something rots. Like an old fallen tree. And the mushrooms munch on it.

I am drinking. I am always more or less of a mess, so on a personal level, i cope with current affairs. But other people are hurting and i can't deal with it. I can't, i have tried. I want children to go back to school and live normally. I want peace of mind for children, they must be a bit lost and they don't know. How could they? Even adults don't know now.

We do indeed live in strange times !

Self isolating is just a penalty for kids, it is a shame as childhood is so fleeting ...

Don't burden youtself with problems you can't have any infleunce in the outcome. Make a difference where you see an opportunity.

Those mushrooms sound tasty.

In the Aussie bush you can find wood sourced and mainly animal pooh sourced mushies.

( some people look for magic mushrooms after rain )

G'day WIS !

All good here, especially since Linda came home from a shopping expedition with a 4 pack of date rolls !

Winning !

How are you enduring the new world order ?

Date rolls. Ahhh so good. You lucky bugger. Good to hear you are cheerful.
And thanks for asking I am pretty good, I am an introvert so self isolating is second nature. But I do feel the effects. I refrain from going to my favorite nature areas because I am scared the police will ask questions on route.

People are also some what more aggressive and protective than usual, which around here means they are hostile.
At work (nursing home) we mask up but some idiots refuse to wear their masks period or only cover their mouths. This is when the Boss is absent. It drives me nuts.

And most of all in all this I miss my Gigi terribly.
I swear she could talk.

But spring is here, my garden haven is ready for planting the few things I put in, the bushes are getting a trim. I have some plans for the willows so all is good.

I will catch you
You go get him Fin, and wipe it in his face

Chanterelles and champignons. Sometimes some more flavored forest mushrooms.

Those are good. do you collect them your self in the season? I used to when I lived in Denmark. All sorts of shrooms, there is a tine one, ten centimeters tall, skinny with a fragile hat, a humble little thing that tastes like onion garlic, fabulous.

But other people are hurting and i can't deal with it.
Fin on one hand it is admirable to have empathy for others, but don't drown in it.
I agree with Timely

Don't burden youtself with problems you can't have any infleunce in the outcome. Make a difference where you see an opportunity.

be kind to those close to you, those who care about you..
Have a kind word and ready smile for every one, that can make a difference.
Some one could have a personal problem that is just magnified by this mess and your comfort, which you are good at, could keep them going.
Please be kind to your self. Promise?
WIS Hug

'Ello Shedpeeps,

I must say... our boys have been coping really well with the social distancing thing. It helps that they get along well together (most of the time!).
They got me to set up my drum kit in the living room!
Originally, it was just going to be for "a wee shot" and then it was a couple of hours... it has now been there for about 2 weeks!!! Thankfully, we have a sturdy house and forgiving neighbours!!

Kids are great, they adapt, they invent... just give them some space and only step in when you see them getting super-bored. Mine have been helping with garden chores, baking/cooking, doing their online PE with that Joe Wicks guy...
They haven't really fallen out, argued or got rowdy at all... yet!

I'm more worried about Chrissie tbh.
This lock-down thing has really hit her hard.
She just stands there staring through the living room window, with a pale, blank expression... tears running down her cheeks.
I wish there was something that I could do to cheer her up...
I even thought about letting her back inside, but rules is rules, right?

For those who know me offsite, I may be doing a short live music set on BaceFook in about 1 hours time.
All welcome!

Gx

Well, well, well. This little occurrence almost deserves a thread of it's own, but I am impatient and want to share with the people I know first.
This is about care from unexpected places.

Requested to set up a Tele-consultation with my MP. I did so so curious as to why.
I was brought to tears.
She wanted to check on me, knowing my respiratory history and tendency to procure pneumonia.
She is amazing.
She urged me to contact the clinic with any symptoms so we could be proactive and not land me in the hospital.
And when I mentioned my concern about the tick bite, that now is a lump after 24 hours, she prescribed antibiotics pronto.
She was happy with my excessive self imposed precautions.
She is awesome.

I wish every one could have such considerate health care providers.

That's it !!! You had me crying within the first four sentences and then spit out my "tea".
Shame on you you incorrigible rascal

I am not talking to you any more, WIS puffs up, nope that would bring you too much pleasure.

Was I the only one who spotted Gordis' twisted humor in this?

I just lost my reply to Fin and came back to find you posted this. I was telling him that there is good news, that families are closer than ever before, spending more quality time with the kids, doing crafts and other things. I was also saying that kids are far more resilient than we give them credit for.

I'm sorry that Chrissie is having a difficult time of this. Perhaps she could sit outside with a nature book and think up new nature craft projects for the future. Maybe she could watch some vids on beauty and medicinal herbs or something else that may be of interest to her. Make her a special candle lit dinner...I'm sure you will think of something. Write her a special song.

Hugs to you and the family!

Mark has been having phone visits with Doctors and has necessary in person visits coming up. My Doc let me know that if I had any problems not to hesitate to call.

Love all the pics and stuff you've been posting Wis! Hugs to you and the fur babies!

Hey there Timely! Good to hear that you and Linda are doing well.

I didn't get to sleep until around 6:30 AM and didn't get much sleep, so I'm semi-coherent at the moment.

Though it breaks my heart to see anyone suffering for any reason, I have seen some amazing stories coming forward of people doing wonderful for things for others, like checking on elderly neighbors or doing errands for them, bringing meals etc. People come together in times like these and unite in love and compassion. Try to focus more on those things or you will overwhelm yourself with things you cannot change.

People all over the world are sending love and prayers for each other. No matter how many miles we may be from one another, borders can't separate love.

So to you and all our lovely companions here and all over the world, I wish you love.

I am familiar with tele-consultation.

I am just impressed about her concern, she contacted me, and went out of her way to ensure my safety, it made me grateful.

Thank you, it's nice to have time off and thus have time. Fur babies are good and give you hugs back.

Yep, we are grateful as well.

I think I hear thunder outside. It's a quiet rainy day here. OH...loved the pic of Gigi! I know how much you miss your girl.

I will start taking multivitamins when I can get to a darned store. I have been eating more vegetables and stuff, but need more energy. I would love to grow some veggies in pots on the porch. Going outside and caring for a garden in the yard is too much for me as simple as it may be. Our garden hose is wound up on some device and it's like battling with an enemy for it to unwind right.

Sorry, still half asleep here. LOL
Going to catch up on messages on facebook and head over to youtube, but I'll still be popping in here. Love you!
