So despite the dreaded time change and it being a Monday morning I took care of a few things that needed done like soon as I had the car today.

My first stop was at the Social Security Office. Now that they have a new manager this is a somewhat speedy task. Following this I went to the Workforce (unemployment) office which didn't take too long. I needed paperwork from both to show my lack of income to renew my food card.

Now that I had this taken care of it was time to mail off my renewal forms for the food card. What do you know, the envelope for all the paperwork would not seal. This was taken care of by a visit to the post office.

After this I did some grocery shopping as needed. What is life without my favorite comfort foods?

All done and it is starting to rain a bit so me and one of the cats had a cat nap for a while.

Let's see how long it takes me to catch this so-called dreaded virus that is going around after being around so many people today.

The virus is getting scary as it is in most States now and the numbers of infected people keep climbing. Last week my friend Linda had a sore throat and wasn't feeling well. Could be nothing, could be something. Who knows?

Alrighty then, it's 70 degrees today! I don't ever remember a day in March being 70 degrees. Beautiful Spring weather and I even opened a window.

Maybe I do, maybe I do.....

Never really watched the "cartoon show" like WWF when I was a kid. I was more of a fan of WCW and the National Wrestling Alliance growing up. I was a fan of the Four Horsemen and the Midnight Express and later on the New World Order growing up. In fact, WCW is what made me fall in love for Japanese wrestling in the first place when they would bring guys like Genichiro Tenryu, Masahiro Chono, Kensuke Sasaki, Great Muta over and feature them on a show. As of now, I always try to watch New Japan's G-1, or Grade One, Tournament they hold over the summer and their Wrestle Kingdom show at the first of the year.

Mark will be going for his first dialysis treatment very, very early in the morning. They have a bus that will pick him up and will cost 4 bucks each way, 3 times a week. Not sure yet what the dialysis will cost.

So far his getting a new prosthetic leg even with any kind of medical coverage would cost thousands that we don't have. They are trying to look into what they can do.

It will be okay Night Star. At least the cats have flown home which means spring is on its way.

You and your twisted sense of humor
(i love it)

But honestly, i don't know. A couple of weeks ago i had all the symptoms of corona, now i am sick again but this doesn't feel the same. Just fever and coughing.

Have a great Tuesday Augustus. (if it is not Tuesday for you now, well, tough luck then
)

Fever and coughing are signs (dry cough). Hard to really tell if someone has a regular flu or the damned virus.

Yeah dry cough here, but i have a feeling it is because i have been smoking too much tobacco. I wish i could get rid of smoking. But it is really hard. I have quit all kinds of garbage during my life but tobacco seems to stay.

I wish Mark's medical issues get in order quickly. Uncertainty about those kind of things can consume lots of mental energy.

I get the feeling that just about all of us have had the "flu" like symptoms. It's the cough that is my undoing. I may have said that I felt like I had a minor case of the flu a few weeks ago. Anyway we are all getting by and not needing be sent away to FEMA camps so this will pass in no time. In four more years there will be new "virus" or such to be concerned with.

I opened a cold morning beer but i will save myself from getting drunk today. This is not a good time. It never is, but this time, extra "not a good time"

I should make it clear that while I've had many cats over my life, none were younger than 6 months of age, so the high energy levels and intense curiosity of 2 month old kittens is very new to me. They're utterly adorable beyond words most of the time, but their Crazy Time Witching Hour runs between 3 and 6 am.
This doesn't jive well with getting any semblance of uninterrupted, restful sleep.

Their overnight standard Crazy Time MOS includes:

Play-fighting under the bed and thus thumping & bumping all over the place. Loudly.

Getting in the laundry hamper and unable to jump back out (it's tall, they're tiny) and crying about it until I get who ever's in it out myself.

Squeezing in behind the dresser or armoire and play-fighting behind them. Ungodly amount of thumping & bumping noise.

Getting in to every god damn thing on hubs' desk, tramping the keyboard, somehow managing to reboot the computer multiple times trampling said keyboard, batting the pull chains on the lamp around, batting the mouse off the desk, etc, etc. It's a vast expanse of fun s# to them < sigh >

So is playing with every cord they can find. They're especially fond of phone charger cords.

Getting into the window blinds (they're thick 2 inch slats, so they bang around) AND batting the pull cords around. Those wooden pulls on the ends are AWESOME toys.

Getting on and off the bed. Repeatedly. The bed is somewhat high up, and they usually can't make the jump, so they climb other nearby furniture to get there, or any clothes hung on the footboard finials. Then they jump back down and do it again. And again. And again.

I got so sick of it last night that I put them in the spare room where their stuff downstairs is (second litter box, extra food & water, toys, etc) and shut the door. They kept me up all night long and I had human toddler midnight adventure flashbacks, I needed to SLEEP. They immediately got to it with the toys and I doubt even noticed the door was closed for a few hours.

Right now, they're pooped out. One's sleeping on hubs' slippers, the other is sleeping on me here. That, ladies and gentleman, is my cue to get some meager sleep hours in XD
