I agree. Lazy writing and lazy conceptualization. The whole concept of these age old super heroes still holing power in the box office demonstrates
just how rigid Hollywood's creative juices have gotten. If it worked to make money in the past let's try it again. And again. And again.
A black Superman? Sure why not give it a try. If it makes money we could expect the actor back, if not well, it was tried.
I mean they found that they could keep changing the actor who played Batman and the actor who played Spiderman. Over and over.
Once people showed that they would accept another James Bond other than Sean Connery, the franchise was turned into an iconic vehicle. Like it was an
honer to get to play 007. Same with Batman now. How many Batmans? How many Supermans? So why not see if a black actor will win at the box office.
So who would be the first black Superman. Maybe Will Smith as an aged Superman with a paunch .
Agenda? Other than trying to keep an old iconic money maker viable after years and years I don't suspect anything more than hopes of profit.
