I disagree with a lot of laws in my country, but I still obey them.

What law says you can't be topless in your own house?
Remember this isn't out in public, this is in their garage.
The children were not in the garage, they walked in.

That is why this is so messed up.

I agree with you in THEORY. I just caution from making a blanket "If I'm in my home it's fine" because there are MANY children who are sexually abused in their own home. So if we say "It was a male with his pants down because he was hot and a female step daughter walked in and he didn't cover up and kept going about his business." is FINE then sure I agree with you.

I could not agree more.

Maybe the biological parents could work out an understanding as to what is appropriate and what is not.

Using the sex offender law is absolutely not an option and is not leverage!

I also don't think a drunk guy peeing in alley is a sex offender.
I think they really need to re-evaluate what that term means.

A simple google search shows that there are quite a few nudists/naturalists in Utah. They best hope this case goes no where since a lot of families would be effected by setting this precedent. Not going to share links from my search since obviously some think that nudity is offensive and those curious can search themselves.

The story seems made up and it most likely the kids walked on on the dad and step mom in the the middle of some adult fun. My guess is they tried to play it off and told the kids it was that reason. If your working and the work gets you dusty you don’t just take off your shirt and proceed to get even more dusty with it off most people put on a shirt that they don’t care about and proceed to work. My guess at why they just proceeded without putting a shirt on is because the cats or boobs are already out of the bag and they just rolled with the story hoping the kids would leave and than she could go back and put on a shirt.

It does seem extreme of the mother to press charges on this. It comes down to the judgement of the father allowing this around his children not the step mom in question. My guess is he didn’t view this as potentially damaging to his children or suggestive at them.

The mother needs to address this with the father and if more instances of her children are exposed to the step moms nudity than bring a case against them. What the judge will be looking for is blatant disregard for the children even if it’s her own house. Kids opening bathroom or bedroom doors won’t count because it can be assumed the person wanted privacy but the living room, kitchen, dinning room or like in this instance the garage. The step mom should know when the children are coming over so it should be an issue

Here's the story:
This lady and her husband were working in the garage. It got dusty so both of them took their shirts off while working.
She didn't have a bra on. The stepchildren walked in. Stepmom doesn't have a problem with toplessness so she kept working.

The kids biological mom was concerned so she reported it, and now stepmom faces sex offender charges.

Having grown up in Europe this is one thing I have to say Americans are super weird about. They are just boobs, guy are allowed to show their
saggy boobs everywhere, so why aren't women? We really need to get over it as a culture.

Well I tend to use female breast in a sexual way here and there. Like when I wear the ones of my victims when I am pretending to be mother........

FFS. Both of my step daughters have seen me in the buff, because they don't know how to knock, and I suck at locking doors. Saw both of my parents nude several times as a child. I can't say it scarred me in the slightest, and so far my step daughters haven't needed any therapy. It's just a human body.

In all honesty though, it sounds like the mom would have found any excuse she could have to try and pull something and found the first thing she could to go at them.

My mom totally wrecked her back when I was 17. I was the only one home, and she couldn't get herself out of the bathtub. I had to lift her out, help her dry, dress her, and carry her to her bed. Awkward? YES! Very. For both of us, I'm sure. But it's my mom, and she needed help. A naked body isn't automatically something sexual.

She went full retard and didn't think -- they're not HER kids and thus it's not her right to be nude -- partially or otherwise -- around them. Ergo, their actual mother has reason to be skeeved TF out about it (I sure as # would be)

I think a slap on the wrist at best is warranted here at most, nobody needs to see a step-parent half-clothed. That's the kind of thing bad B-movies and porno categories are made of.

The woman wasn’t too smart in my opinion. It’s not her call to make on what is morally acceptable for someone else’s child. I think I’d be pissed too, but then again most of you think I’m just a Christian prude. 😂
