Yes you are missing something because you like so many others have it all wrong. We interfered with their investigation. Biden used his position in the previous administration to, in a shocking display of obstruction of justice, pretty much force Ukraine to drop the investigation into his son.

Trump isn't asking them to do a damn thing they don't want to do. What he is doing is telling them he's taking the damn shackles off that were put on them by the previous administration, allowing them to properly carry out their investigation.

It's not Trump asking them for something, it's Trump giving them permission to do something they already want to do, and correcting the horridly corrupt actions of the previous administration by actually TAKING AWAY the threat of punishment if they wish to investigate.

I condemn any American aid or action on behalf of Saudi Arabia. They are a s%%$hole country and it is one of the very few things I disagree with Trump on.
Obama did the Saudi Arabia thing too as did the last 7 presidents. It's all oil based and it's a huge mess.
