Did either of those cases involve the direct hands on involvement of the president of the united states and the leader of another country?

Thanks for a thoughtful response.

But isn't it true that Trump could put his private business in danger if they have an impeachment? Wouldn't he want to protect that, and maybe just resign rather than have all his dealings exposed?

I asked a simple question on this thread and another: When does everyone think the impeachment will go to the senate, and will Trump resign before that. Why attack me?

This is only opinion since I'm no psychic.

The Dem's will stretch this out as long as they can before they get around to an actual vote in the House. The goal being to keep it in the news until just before election day. What we are watching today was not a hearing, it was them using a hearing for campaign purposes. That's why it's public instead of behind closed doors where whistle blower stuff is usually heard for what should be obvious reasons.

If they do Impeach, it's only for the camera's. Same as Clinton. I doubt anyone thinks they can actually take down Trump and that's probably not even on their minds.

I'd say buy a full case of popcorn, maybe two and settle in for a long show. No actual legislation is possible now, so it's full on campaign mode. You might want to wear your rain suit to keep the mud off while you watch this progress. Many lies will be told by both sides. Many illegal leaks to the media will happen with nobody being taken to task for it.

Completely off-topic but I have to say your contribition to several threads on ATS in your short time here really impress and I enjoy your intelligent input and decorum.

Very refreshing.

and how was he implicated?
because the potus asked for him to be contacted?
what crime exactly is that?
imo that is the AG's job isnt it?

For real I can't tell if your being obtuse to mess with him or if you really don't understand the connection being referenced. The act of Trump coercing Ukraine into doing Trump's political dirty work is very likely going to be on the wrong side of legality, though its still to be decided. The fact that Barr was named means that he will have to be looked into. Are you suggesting he's more than capable of impartially looking into himself and reporting if he's done anything illegal for which he should be punished?

The senate had a private meeting/ hearing with Mcguire this afternoon and they came out saying its very concerning and they will need to investigate this further. Thats the GOP senate.

These may be a lot to be worried about here.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I read an article a few weeks back that said the dems would do the actual articles of impeachment right before the next election to hurt Trump.

Indeed. I just heard that Rudy may be snitching too, which means this whole thing may be about to go into super double overdrive.

Rudy Snitching?

IG found the complaint credible and troubling.
No need to know any more about the actual person who's identity should remain anonymous for their protection.

Especially now that trump put a target on their back by inferring they are a spy and in the old days spies were "treated differently" than they are today.

I think his people knew what he did was wrong so tried to hide the evidence , I'd still like to see the actual transcript perhaps at some point it will appear.

So THIS is what you think when people try to keep calls between world leaders secret? I had know idea that all calls between governments should just be out there for everyone to listen to. I suppose you believe this after the Hillary email scandal. Every email should be on a public server and every call should be public.

Weakass disparagement humor appealing to extremes.
That tells me you are at a loss as to how to handle this information.

This is much more serious than this crowd is treating it.

I think its whistling past the graveyard.

eh on that front he could always put his family in charge (melina/ivanka/jared) publicly "resign" but have some kind of secret clause where he basically runs it but stays out of the lime light as much as possible

just pulling random examples out of my butt but the company bidens kid worked for it still selling gas and opperates mostly the same. papa johns got rid of its ceo but he still owns a butload of stock so still makes money on the company. there are others im sure but i see the brand surviving due to how diverse it is from hotels to his wife and kids fashion line etc)

He loses IQ points every time he mentions Biden and his son when he deflects the answer of questions he doesn't want to answer.]

All calls with political leaders have been locked down due to leaks that occurred in 2017.

Most companies named "Nixon" took a hit after he resigned, even if they were not associated with the president. What would happen to all the buildings with Trump's name on them if he were to resign or get impeached?

The officials told the whistleblower they were“directed” by White House lawyers to remove the electronic transcript from the computer system in which such transcripts are typically stored for coordination, finalization and distribution to Cabinet-level officials.

There are procedures , for some reason this particular conversation was removed from the normal procedure.

not exactly true.

the procedure was changed after 2 earlier calls were leaked.

hence the more secure server, but do carry on.

What kind of blood tests would they have to pass to be deemed credible to you since they have said some very troubling things about trump?
