When does everyone think the impeachment will go to the senate? Will Trump resign rather than being impeached?

Just on FOXNEWS, looks like the reason the material was on a more secure server was because leaks from "insiders" in the past.

So cool, Democrats cause a problem, Trump fixes it, then the Democrats accuse him of "hiding" things.

I need a church lady "How Convient" gif here.

I asked a simple question on this thread and another: When does everyone think the impeachment will go to the senate, and will Trump resign before that. Why attack me?

I don't think people are attacking you more than they are being suspiciously critical.

You're getting your feet wet with one of the most polarizing topics in months. Even seasoned members are getting held to the fire on their comments, including me.

OK, do you think Trump will face impeachment? It that a better question? Because once the articles of impeachment are voted on, they go to the Senate, right? SO a better question might be: If the house votes to impeach Trump, will he resign or face trial in the Senate?

there has to be a house vote first
there have been 3 attempts to get a house vote
all 3 have been stopped by the dems
why would you think there is more support this time?
there is actually less evidence of wrongdoing this time

The casino books still make you pay 400 to win a 100 that Trump finishes his first term.... So impeachment isn't looking that promising considering those are the odds with the current conversation.

His odds for 2020 are still 42%, which is pretty good considering the media cycle playing out.

That's just using some numbers as a baseline, of course anything is possible... But it doesn't look close to probable.

And even if Trump leaves, who cares?

The democrats have so damaged their party that they’ll lose the House, lose more seats in he Senate, and Pence will be president.

Democrats? Insiders? The leaks are coming from trumps staff and inner circle.

Something to consider....Pence wants the WH as his domain. Game of Thrones perhaps...

i think the house will go for it the senate will not convict and it will be a repeat of the clinton thing . dont think he would resign though ego to big on that front but think he will weather the storm as he has pretty much since he got elected

actual impeacment hinges on what actual evidence they can produce mixed with convincing all the independents and 20 republicans in the senate to actualy do it and give up on them keeping progress with adding members to the judiciary

The FIRST thing that should happen next is William Barr needs to recuse. And potentially people from the State department.

Barr is directly implicated by the phone call and by the president specifically. There are no ifs or buts here, he needs to recuse.

Further, Giuliani said in an interview that he acted under direction from the State department and lifted his cell phone on air and said that phone call was still in his phone. The person who gave that order, possibly Pompeo, also needs to recuse until they can testify before the investigators.

Because it would be ethical to recuse from an investigation you are implicated in. Contrarily, not to recuse in such a matter would be unethical.

and how was he implicated?
because the potus asked for him to be contacted?
what crime exactly is that?
imo that is the AG's job isnt it?

To our knowledge, all that's happened is a conversation.

Everyone was told Lynch and Bill met on the tarmac and just had a conversation, so she got to stay. Barr to my knowledge has not had conversations with anyone directly, and if he has been in the loop, he's buffered himself with proxies. While I'm not justifying this instance with something from the other political party I don't like..... What I'm saying is if we look at what's happened in the past, and how the nation has dealt with it, I don't think they will be forced to recuse themselves.

That said, we still don't know what hand they have to play. There is a possibility this could play out differently than we all think.
