I'm not so sure that is true anymore.

I used to think anyone in politics was dirty, then they investigated Trump, and found nothing.

then did it again, and again, and a special counsel did it, and then again .......

But they found....... Nothing, Trump being Trump is an ass, but he is not "dirty"

( I can relate to this, my wife is kind, caring and generous, she can't "think" evil, it's beyond her ability)

that is unheard of in DC, they can't grasp that concept, how can Trump NOT be dirty.

so yeah, the next step is to "off" President Trump, it''s all they have left.

So if he lives for the next 18 months, President Trump wins.

Chance of an impeachment is pretty good. Maybe not a conviction from the gop senate. But if they value their jobs and want to be reelected in 2020 they better think twice. The inquiry alone will hurt trump.
I think these guys can make a good case against him.

There isn’t a chance in hell that Trump will get impeached, you know that don’t you?

And you seriously have faith in the morons calling the shots in the Democrat Party, that they will make a good case against him?

Your party is one big failure after another over and over and over again. The only thing your inept party has proven is that they’re a failure. The Democratic Party is a pathetic joke and nothing but. They haven’t achieved a damn thing since Trump was elected, nothing. Think about that for a min or two, nothing.

Have you ever stopped long enough to realize that almost everything you spout on this site has been proven wrong? All your absolutes and for sure’s, wrong.

Do you really think that GOP members in the senate will vote to impeach the prez out of fear of losing their jobs? That’s some delusional thinking silly.

Hate to tell ya but your favorite Commander in Chief ain’t going anywhere for another five years.

But is was ok for Biden to hold 1b$ from the Ukraine if they didn't fire the prosecutor investigating his son?

If you think so. I can't find that anywhere in this article.

This whole tread relates to Biden's son mismanaging aid money which was supposed to be investigated but VP Biden covered it up quite a while back. Trump wants to find out what happened to the money, he wants it investigated properly. We should have investigated this back when this happened under Obama, but they got away with it somehow.

Politicians and big business know that people do not follow up on things, just hang another carrot in front of them and they go hop towards it after making a fuss, people lose interest, lots of things do not get fixed. You do know that orange juice is still made the same way yet, they just had to take off the word fresh. Big stink, nothing changed.

It's always been true. Both parties are full of bad guys for lack of a better title.

No, they're not all dirty, but transparency should not be scary to those who are not. It's the process that makes them turn. The quest for power is a poison.

What I'm saying is not partisan or directed at Trump or any particular person or situation. They all use lack of transparency as a weapon and to keep a veil between the voters and them.

The best way to know if Trump did wrong or Biden did wrong is transparency. I know it scares people. We feel much safer not knowing. We humans prefer to live in a world of our minds making, instead of the real world, and truth can be very scary if it destroys peoples image of the world around them.

You mean removed from office? Don't you?

Article One of the United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power of impeachment and the Senate the sole power to try impeachments of officers of the U.S. federal government.

Impeachment is a trial and yes the ball is now rolling on that.
Pelosi is going to announce the official Impeachment Inquiry to gather evidence this afternoon.
The measure will be voted on by the full house tomorrow.

A select panel will be formed to conduct the investigation and subpoenas are no longer political, but legal and any push-back is fast-tracked in federal courts. People went to jail during Nixon's investigation.

What is even more interesting is how Mitch McConnell is no longer saying he will never entertain impeachment proceedings in the Senate:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said on Tuesday that the Trump administration didn’t tell him why it had delayed almost $400 million in aid for Ukraine in July, about a week before President Donald Trump reportedly tried to get the Ukrainian government to investigate 2020 rival Joe Biden.

McConnell told reporters that he has “no idea what precipitated the delay.”

Correct and apparently Trump chopped off his right arm to try and bludgeon Joe Biden with it and missed.

Both things can happen? DOJ can sink low and open an investigation into Biden and Son for political purposes. We can quietly wait for the conclusion if the investigation is ever made public.

*But i am 99% sure Trump already tried to talk his AG into that nonsense and he was told no, thus the need to extort a foriegn country to help him with his campaign.

And Trump will be investigated and tried via Impeachment proceedings befitting his office.

Let's get to the truth.

Putting aside your own personal hate for Trump, do you think impeachment under the circumstances they are trying to put forth would be good for the country?

I think there is a very good chance he will be impeached.
He may not get convicted but that trial is going to happen and its going to be happening while he tries to run a campaign for reelection.
I believe they are about to open official inquiries into impeachment and that alone is going to be a stain.

You are 100% correct

There will not be a dEmocrat in the Whitehouse for 20 years.

Also, the dEms will NOT be going ahead with impeachment. Not today, tomorrow, next week or next year.

In the words of Ric Flair, “they’ve got.......nothin!”

I think the country is need of facts and answers. Trump has consistently refused to provide honest answers and has obstructed transparency at every turn.

Watergate was "bad for the country" when it happened. Nixon was ton more popular at the time than Trump. A solid majority of the country approved of him vs. the opposite for Trump.

In the long run Watergate was good for our country. No single President is more important than our democracy. No one is more important than the Constitution. The oath office is taken for a reason.

I don't like Trump, but I cling to the 2% chance that this isn't actually what it looks like, because if it is, he needs to be removed immediately and yes it will be hard on the country, but 100% necessary. I mean really, who wants a President Pence?

If he had turned over the Whistle-Blower complaint and transcripts (Even to a GOP Friendly Senate intelligence committee) and it exonerated him, we would not be here.

As it stands it now will involve testimony and documents from IGs, Whistle Blower, Rudy - who he had brow-beating Ukraine the whole time and other materials.

With an impeachment inquiry we will get the truth. Everyone on the left or the right deserves the truth even if you don't want it.

Wrong. If he had no chance of winning before (which he does, by a large margin), trying to impeach him will push his election even further to victory. You refuse to see it, and that's the beauty of all of this. You'll lose in 2024 and 2028 if you keep this up.
