Midland Police: One shooter at Cinergy of Midland, another driving along Loop 250, 20 people shot

I actually heard about this on ABC. They broke in while I was watching the results after the 'Bama game.

When this crap interferes with SEC football, they've gone too damn far!

Best wishes for all involved... except the shooter. He can rot.

only one that would make sense is guy was on the way to do a mass shooting and randomly got pulled over by a cop and then shot said cop and then decided hey why not a postal van for "camoflage" . this may be the weirdest one yet, starts with random traffic stop,then some how either A. they go on the highway and shoot at randoms then go to the mall,or B. traffic stop then mall then magically highway some how? with only one shooter apparently? time line just seems weird unless there were two?

photos of others being arrested ( one being the woman getting put in back of a cruiser at the mall) and another just a photo of an older looking guy(or at least a balding male) getting cuffed with no context to the photo other then it was on side of a highway.

So wtf happened when the cop pulled him over.
He stopped. He didnt initially run.

He waited for the cop to come to the car, and then he shot him. Then he took off

Same thing happened a couple of weeks ago in Riverside CA. Except, in CA, the cop went back to his car for a bit, and then came back to the pick up truck, and then guy shot the cop and took off. The cop was able to call for back up, and a police chase ensued on the freeway and perp was shooting while driving, he hit (bullets) another car, but didn't hit anyone in it, thank god. He pulled over and got out at of the truck at a bypass, and there was a police shoot out, right on the side of the freeway!

The cop that got shot died in the hospital.

see that adds more context and covers two of the 3 locations but what about all the photos of the vehicles on the highway full of bullet holes? or were all of those done on the way to the mall between the traffic stop and some how the postal vehicle high jacking(which makes it federal id assume?)

Odessa Police Chief Michael Gerke said the suspect of the Midland-Odessa shootings was a white male in his mid-30s. The incident began at 3:17 p.m. CDT, when a Department of Public Safety officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a gold Honda, Gerke said. When the vehicle came to a stop, the occupant shot the officer. The vehicle drove westbound into Odessa, where another person was shot. The suspect continued through Odessa to 42nd Street, where Gerke said "there were multiple victims." The suspect abandoned his vehicle and stole a mail truck, Gerke said. There were other victims after that, he added. The suspect then drove eastbound toward the Cinergy movie theater, where he and officers exchanged fire. The suspect was fatally shot in the exchange, Gerke said.

I was just surprised at the timestamp on the link and on the article... which has been fixed now.

Beyond the shear insanity of the incident, something smells “off” about this.

Or maybe my tinfoil is too tight!

ETA: Thank you, poster just above me here who posted that apparently as I was posting. That video is scary just because there is a random civilian running along the wall of the building behind where the cop is shooting. With some of the stories that get out about what bad shots some cops are these days, I would be scared to be anywhere NEAR the line of fire of a cop, I.e. on the other side of a van they were shooting at 😳

I'll just wait until tomorrow if I feel I need to know the particulars of thi event. Not that I need to know.
I do know that the pres candidates are thoroughly politicizing this, before we know what happened. We probably will discover the perp bought his guns fair and square.

Awakened Minds and the cliched "something smells off about this" ..

What is it this time that smells off?

It didn't happen, no one died, the police haven't given all the facts yet, the videos don't match up to what Awakened Minds think mass shooting events should look like . Please help me understand what smells off.
