Just says two dead.

Midland PD Facebook page says one shooter was shot and killed by PD, they’re investigating reports of possible suspects.

one of the dead is the postal worker who's truck/van got jacked so one dead female federal employee

Texas State Trooper shot.
STILL hearing 5 confirmed dead...not specifying if that includes the shooter.

according to BNL news twitter one of the victims was a 17month old baby shot in the face..........kiwifarms.net... id imagine the death toll may go up by a bit

Started with a traffic stop---State Trooper shot at stop.
Shooter drove a distance and hijacked a mail truck.

Haven't we seen a number of science fiction books and movies where pursuits like this were watched on TV with all the mind washed masses following every move, every death, everything happening with great relish? Seems I recall this scenario from Fahrenheit 451 where the citizens were prompted by the TV to look out their windows when the perps were spotted in their vacinity and help the police to find them?

Word from Odessa police is five dead.

The Odessa police did not have this detail.
The officer did not know if anything happened to the driver of the postal truck. He could not say.

This began as a traffic stop. Not sure crazy plays a part.

I'd like to know what if anything they find in this guys car that he felt he had to shoot a cop.
Thats the death penalty. Must have had something or was wanted for something to react that way.
Then he just went all postal. Drove off and pulled off highway and shot in an area that was populated.
Turned around and went back in the direction he came continuing to shoot randomly. Ditched his car
for the postal van and continued to shoot.
At some point after the traffic stop this guy decided he wanted to be a story on the evening news.

yeah seems to be lots of conflicting info out ranging from suspect is dead, to suspect in custody, to one shooter to up to 3 and one random video of what looks like a very distraught woman being loaded in the back of a police cruiser at what looked like the mall

yeah even when people run from cops or situations like this its usualy a escape flee kind of thing not just randomly fire at people then go to a mall/cinema and randomly start shooting at others on the highway etc this is weird

Yeah this is weird. At what point did this guy just say oh # it, lets suicide by cop.
From a traffice stop. It couldnt have been that he planned this. It just seems so random.
So wtf happened when the cop pulled him over.
He stopped. He didnt initially run.

Could it have been something as simple as the guy was wasted?
