'Bias Response Teams' are now operating in colleges across the USSA

Wonderful. Now children will be too scared to speak their mind and call out the minorities for exploiting their minority status while news anchors get to say anything they want.

USA today has everyone looking to put bandages on metaphorical cuts instead of investigating the sharp objects that cause this in the first place.

I work around the industrial trades, and our YOUNG journeymen are in their 40's. There's already a shortage of skill and it's going to get worse. The heat and water and power isn't going to keep itself on.

You don't necessarily need six-figures of indoctrination to land a six-figure income.

Trades have made people rich for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, there's no reason to believe that's changed any.

My last excursion into the world of academia was in 1994, and it was not good. Made the Dean/Presidents list, not because I'm brilliant, because I'm not...I parroted back everything I heard. That's all. Amazing, eh?? Sad, too. I left after that, and have only recently thought about maybe going back to finish my degrees.

Rightly so. My generation (I'm 60) has tuned out of politics and believes in live an let live. Most of them too busy working just to get by and they have little time to try to keep track of what's going on in DC or do anything about it. While most are busy working and raising families, these losers are looking to organize and corner future elections.

I wonder if this crap will spread to the UK, my daughter is doing her last year at college before Uni, I'd hate to think the Thought Police would be leaning over her shoulder.

Well, I see the logic and reason there... but I can't entirely agree nor disagree. For one thing, folks do have other options. There are other colleges and universities that don't play these games. There are also vocational schools that focus on actual learning and skills development. There are online colleges and universities that don't require any interaction with other people at all. Folks can also petition and protest such tactics and warn that they will withdraw/transfer if the enforced groupthink continues.

Everyone has to decide who and what they will be. Sometimes that means sacrificing one aspiration for a higher aspiration. Will they be true to themselves? Or are they going to be someone else's bitch?

Well this is certainly worth a star from everyone Boadicea. Thanks for sharing the proper frame of mind on this.

The actions of stomping, beating and running out of town certain people over a stated opinion are indeed foul actions that are against all common law. You don't have to approve, hang out or be charitable to those you disagree with, but you do have to refrain from doing them harm.

In America we strive to do no harm. This bias crap is causing harm in the deciders aren't fair and are using Un-Constitutional rulings. Their bias now allows only one religion on campus to speak freely which is anti American.

I know took me 30 years to figure that out, once I got it down cruised to my BS in IT, and now I'm in my masters program and just turned in the worst paper I have ever written and got a 96 for it... wrote it in about 5 mins and all I did was go down point by point that the teacher had written to tell us what needed to be in the paper.
