Saw a discussion the other day about UMICH's Campus Climate Support Staff. UMICH is where Sasha Obama is starting this semester. No mention of political protection in their mission. Hm.... Wonder why?

That tells you all you need to know about what sort of thought they are policing.

Wow.

When I was in college, we only had to deal with those crazy people from the church of something telling us that Satan had invaded our souls... Or the equally crazy anti-abortionists that would bring their kids along with them and display pictures of aborted fetuses.

But this, this is a new level of stupid.

Maybe because without that degree, their kids aren't even eligible for a retail job slightly above minimum wage.

Well, I see the logic and reason there... but I can't entirely agree nor disagree. For one thing, folks do have other options. There are other colleges and universities that don't play these games. There are also vocational schools that focus on actual learning and skills development. There are online colleges and universities that don't require any interaction with other people at all. Folks can also petition and protest such tactics and warn that they will withdraw/transfer if the enforced groupthink continues.

Everyone has to decide who and what they will be. Sometimes that means sacrificing one aspiration for a higher aspiration. Will they be true to themselves? Or are they going to be someone else's bitch?

First they homogenized our milk now they're doing it to our kids , our freedom speech and thought are slowly being phased out and people are being wrapped in pink comfy blankets ... upsetting people is bad Mkay.

The term "Bias Response Team" sends a shiver down my spine , the feminisation of the West continues a pace.

Awwwww... did all those nasty feminazis rip up all the man cards???

We're looking at trade schools for my 16 year old.

College and the mindset just turns him off.

He actually said, "Do I HAVE to go to college?"

A) I bet this is a totally fake story... well or the bias
Bias response teams actually consist of one person making a face book account named that.. which is the same thing as fake .. since this pretends there are groups attempting to enforce things on people.. not a facebook account.. lol

B) “bias response teams” sounds like a conservative group angry about the alleged political bias against conservatives on college campuses..

God I hope my kid wants to work with his hands for a living, if he elects to go to college Ill support him but after seeing what happened to my sisters eldest whom I raised till she was 8... well I can only hope we get him a rock solid foundation before hand.

My niece actually accused me of hating women because I laughed when she said the US womens team deserves the same pay as the men, the only place she could have heard that garbage is college.

Too bad you can't control everyone and everything all the time. Then you could just get rid of us liberals. And your post sounds like a bit of whining to me.

Perhaps the solution is to simply not attend those colleges if you don't agree with their policies.

I seek no control....that is the elixir of the left...thought control is the lynchpin of their ethos...
Without thought control, u cannot silence debate...

It’s why communist (ussr, china) societies and fascist societies (Italy, nazi Germany) silence speech almost immediately upon taking power.

Then they tend to seize industry(Krupp steel, railroads, auto, etc) and nationalize healthcare...this gives them almost a complete monopoly on their citizenry...

Acolytes of the US Constitution (like myself) tend towards a small, but powerfully defended federal government with states controlling day to day laws...
This is a simplistic summation of my views but I defend every citizens right to freedom, speech included, so long as they are not inciting violence, panic or fomenting revolution...

You have proven, yet again, the astounding lack of understanding liberals have for the conservative, federalist ethos...

Please consult Madison, Hamilton, and Jay for more understanding....I would suggest you start at the first of the federalist papers...
You may learn something real instead of spouting off ridiculous opinions you heard from a college or high school teacher with a lot less education than me...

Q: What's the difference between a US college 'Bias Response Team' and Hitlers brownshirts / Stalins NKVD ?
A: 75 years.

I'd wager quite a few people don't know the Nazis were big on using student groups and professors as components in their 'turning' of society. None of this stuff is new; unfortunately, it remains effective.

Cheers

Nazis weren't the only ones. This is also how Mao's Great Cultural Revolution also got its start -- with the students.

Unlike most lefties, conservative kids are more ambitious than a career saying, "Do you want fries with that?" which is about all most liberal arts degrees that soi bois get are good for anymore.

Amen, good for your son. My daughter is turning 9, but she spends all of her time on horseback and studying falconry, when not out foraging and panning with her folks.

Shes already learned more than most adults in the city in regards nature. Ive reccomended, plumbing, electrical or boarding horses and teaching riding as the best opportunities.

Today's modern "progressive" liberal is truly totalitarian at heart.

The original Progressive Liberals were all about just being left alone to live their own lives.
I know , I was one

My son can spend 2 years in a tech school learning electrical engineering and repair.

The more reliant we become on tech, the more we'll all rely on those that can fix it.
