I'm not sure about Molly. I got her in 2008 I think and she was already an adult. Suzie is 7.

Beautiful song. Can you translate all of the lyrics?

Sure i can. Something nice for me to occupy myself with for a while. I have three hours to destroy before this nanny state allows me to buy some beer.

It doesn’t show

The world is big but what does it matter?
Vast and beautiful but what does it matter?
I am always the same, and always here

Airplanes ascend steeply and fast
They take me away from my home fast
They take me far away but still I am always here
I can’t get away
I can’t get away

Others have their secrets, I don’t hear them
I don’t see
Sometimes I try to adjust, Open up
“Listen to me”
It is pathetic
They say “Has it been hard?
It doesn’t show from you
Hard?
It doesn’t show from you”

I sit the whole day next to a person from Texas
After this journey we will never see each other again
He goes somewhere, I am always here
I can’t get away

Others have their secrets….

Others have their secrets...

Yesterday i sent greetings to my mom. My sister promised to deliver them.

I told that i have been thinking about her a lot and missing her. I told that i am deeply sorry for messing things up badly in the summer.

The summer has turned into winter but the pain is still within me.

Sorry to hear Finstar. My only advice is try not to dwell on the past. That's history. The present and the future is what directly guides us. Learn life's lessons, (avoid making the same mistake.) be guided by that then you won't need to feel sad for things. (This becomes habitual after a long time) Recognize those symptoms. Stitch up the wound, let it heal. The scar will remain as a memory but it will fade. You will be happy all the time. My thoughts.

Kind regards,

bally

Inspiring lyrics, I translate the lyrics back into Finnish for you. Hope it's right. Wish I new the pronunciation without my aussie slang. great.

Se ei Näytä

Maailma on suuri, mutta mitä sillä on väliä?
Valtava ja kaunis, mutta mitä se on väliä?
Olen aina sama, ja aina täällä

Lento koneet nousevat jyrkästi ja nopeasti
He vievät minut pois kodistani nopeasti
He vievät minut kaukana, mutta silti olen aina täällä
En pääse pois
En pääse pois

Toiset ovat salaisuuksia, en kuule niitä
En näe
Joskus Yritän säätää, avata
"Kuun Tele minua"
Se on säälittävä
Sanotaan "Onko se ollut vaikeaa?
Se ei näy sinusta
Kova?
Se ei Näytä sinulta "

Istun koko päivän henkilön Texasin vieressä
Tämän matkan jälkeen emme enää koskaan näe toisiamme
Hän menee jonnekin, olen aina täällä
En pääse pois

Toiset ovat salaisuuksia....

Toiset ovat salaisuuksia..

Well done! Very close to being absolutely correct! You are getting really good at this!

I had coffee and now i am cleaning up the place. There is not much to clean up though... Some empty beer cans and pizza boxes. I don't like them in my view.

The usual. Seeing my friend, then mostly alone at home. Then December 26th is my birthday and i will finally leave this year of my life behind me. Then a couple of days forward and the decade will change. Good!

I cooked.

Fast and simple. Boiled 3 bags of noodles. Fried two chopped sausages. Added corn and peas and bell pepper and sliced mushrooms. Mixed it all together and added spices. There, it is done.

Well if you inclined to travel you are welcome here for a family Xmas. If not I'll make sure ATS is running 24/7 and send you well wishes for xmas and your birthday.

We start xmas prepping here early. Maybe you might PM me your address and at least that way I can send a card.

Kind regards,

Bally

I am not much inclined to travel. But thanks for the invitation anyway! I am sure i would meet some really pleasant people and have really good food there. But i have no travel money, and i like familiar surroundings. And as years go by, i become more and more introvert, and i was a true total introvert to begin with

I haven't been to places much. One day visits to Stockholm, Sweden. I like the old part of the city. It is beautiful to watch! Tallinn, Estonia (one weekend). Then when i was a kid my grandparents took me to Tenerife, Canary Isles. If i remember right there is a volcano. 7th grade teacher said that 9th grade trips are being voted now and then we start to raise money. My suggestion, London, England, won the vote, so there a week as a 9th grader. Had my first girlfriend there, it didn't last for long after we came back and we were apart spending our summer (she in the city and me at the summer cottage in the middle of the woods). About London, well i really disliked (can't say "hate" too strong word for every occasion for me) the smog, which is a combination of smoke and fog. I loved river Thames and the Big Ben. And we watched some kind of "Change of guards" thing at the... can't remember. Those men looked dignified!

Then Antalaya of Turkey for a week as a teenager, i was maybe 16. I remember the kebab was awesome and they sold beer even at mcdonald's! I was too young to drink but i remember the cultural shock. Then i got 40.5 C fever and mumbled some nonsense about arriving pirates and was very weak, but made the flight back home!

Oh and Vyborg, Russia. I was a kid. Me, my mom, step bro and his dad were taking used, but good condition, shoes to a shelter that tried to take care of kids. It was wintertime and the desperation was visible everywhere. It shocked me, but helped me to put some things into a more reasonable perspective. I don't want to sound like some cheap copy of Mother Theresa with these talks, it is just what happened.

Long weekend!

Hope everything is going OK for you and Mark, NS. Is everything still on track for Thursday?

*

The daughters eye was crusted shut when I woke her up for school...pink eye strikes again!

I hate it when my daughter is sick, but I love sick days. Ironic?

Now I go put some fire under a pan of eggs and break out the boardgames...

WOW! Love this!!!!!!!!

And as always love your music!

I always put up Thanksgiving and Christmas threads for those who won't be with family or are going through difficult times. Some of us hang out in there throughout the day and evening. And we always have the Shed.
I too would love to be able to send you cards Fin.

Yes, everything is all set for Thursday. My anxiety level has been rather high for a while. It's so hard to watch a once vibrant, strong man decline in health like this. And once he goes on dialysis it will be for years until he can get a kidney donated but...there is a 6 year waiting list.
I'm scared and sad, but trying not to dwell on it. It's just so hard not knowing how many years we have left together. To lose someone after being together for forty years...

Anyway, he has a positive outlook, and I am being strong for him. Thanks for asking Hun!

Hope your daughter gets over her pink eye soon. A fun day with Daddy and board games.

Hey i told you that i refuse to pray for you and Mark for the reasons i mentioned ( i have prayed for over 20 years and got myself worse and worse all the time). But know this!: I will send good vibes. A small, unheard whisper to the winter evening wind that everything goes perfectly for you two
