Despite the rhetoric, MP's do not get a say if the new PM decides to take us out of the EU with no deal.

Do you honestly think any of them have the balls, the strength of character or the willingness to do that?

Regardless of who it may be once the new PM is decided he will toe the line; derail and dilute Brexit.

We'll have to wait and see - but we have more of a chance with Johnson, Gove, Javid or Hunt than we did with May and if we get that snivelling wretch Rory Stewart, we'll be remaining for sure.

The biggest danger is outlined in the second sentence:-
"unless the Speaker chooses to be even more flexible in his interpretation of parliamentary convention"
That is the matter of most concern. We have a speaker who is an avowed remainer and will overturn centuries of precedence and tradition on his personal whim.

He needs removing, the speaker is supposed to be neutral...... and while the're

at it get rid of the spectre in the party (Hammond) if you hadn't guessed
He's

enough to put the dampers on anything .......

The corruption levels in American politics would turn something like that into an absolute $#!7show here. You saw how the DNC handled the Bernie Sanders/Hillary Clinton issue, and that one was mathematically the correct decision by them based on vote totals from the People. I shudder to imagine how things would look if the US started using the parliament methods.

Come now, Churchill was a well known speed freak and Eden relied on his purple hearts during The Suez Crisis.

I'm sure at least some of Thatcher's contemporaries had their peccadilloes....some worse than others.

I have very little faith, if any, in those who infest Westminster.

Bercow should indeed be forced to resign.

And while we are talking about substance abuse every time I see him he's either pissed, stoned or when his eyes are popping out his head sniffed out his brains!

I'd love to know what Betty Boothroyd makes of him.

It is interesting to note how many conservative voters asking questions

have lately been saying that they have voted for the Brexit party.

Never mind a new leader for the conservative party....... Its now time for

a revolution and the people need to vote for the party who will enforce

the will of the people and take the UK out of the EU ...... everything

else is just time wasting and enough time has been wasted already.

Polls are predicting the rise and rise of the Brexit party .........although not

wanting an election maybe, just maybe it would let the Brexit party in and

we would at last get to leave??

Just a thought!!!

I watched and after a few minutes began to start losing the will to live. They made your average Apprentice wannabe look employable. They should have Lord Sugar decide which one of them gets to be PM, with him setting them tasks and then getting his pointy finger out.

Has Jeremy Hunt (now, what does that rhyme with?) had a personality bypass operation? Or perhaps he never had one to start with.

Even Emily looked embarrassed.

Is this really the best we have got?

Ambition?? making a fool of him?

Jeremy Hunt: a Remainer who now ‘believes in Brexit’. Where have we heard that one before?

Checking it out I think ALL the candidates for PM with the exception of Gove

were originally remainers
So what hope for the UK ever leaving the EU

Even Emily looked embarrassed.

Dare I suggest Nigel ........

On the other hand, they all want their party to survive in politics, and I think all except Stewart recognise the point that survival depends on carrying the exit through.

When the incorrigibly shy and reclusive Boris appeared on the family research television programme Who Do You Think You Are? in 2008, one of the revelations that surfaced was Boris’s descent from Adelheid, Baroness de Pfeffel (his full name is Boris de Pfeffel Johnson), illegitimate daughter of Prince Paul of Württemberg, himself a great-great-grandson of King George II. Since George II was also Dave’s eight-greats-grandfather, that makes Dave and Boris cousins.

In June 2009, it was revealed that Mayoral expenditure on taxi fares had risen by 540% under Johnson’s administration, from £729 in 2007/08 to £4,698 in 2008/09.

Several expense claims for very short taxi journeys were submitted by the Mayor, many which included charges for taxis to wait several hours for the Mayor to use them with the meter running (for example, a return journey from City Hall to Elephant and Castle – a journey of 3 miles – which cost £99.50).

I would not trust those to look after the kids never mind the country

As an esteemed and much missed ex-member used to say: I wouldn't trust any of them to look after my pint when I've gone to the toilet let alone run this country!

And the alternatives are just as bad.

A complete shower of proverbial #e!

How did it come to this?
