No one knows how they would react until it happens to them.

for myself, my first and only concern would be for my kid. That is all that matters. And, my role is to always protect and be there for my kind and going to jail isn't going to make that possible if I take matters into my own hands.

Now... if my child were absolutely dead, that might be a different matter because at that point I have nothing to lose.

Glad I live in a state where no jury would convict me for doing unspeakable things to someone who harmed my child.

Because that's exactly what I would have done in this situation. Damn the consequences.

I have no children, I have had altercations with guys pounding on their girlfriends, I just don't cotton to that.

If I had been standing there i would later claim I was afraid for my life and concerned for the child which is why I threw the guy over the railing and landed on him as I jumped down to help the kid. I'm 6'4 and a former Marine too. so it's not beyond the realm of possiblity of happening.

Wow! Now that is beyond wacky, to just bat # stupid.

Personally I would say that we have a special kind of capital punishment for this special kind of blend and mix of crazy and stupid. What we need is a catapult, and a brick wall. And well, just strap his ass in said catapult, and launch him full speed into the brick wall.

If he survives, it would likely be an improvement, both to him and those around him.

it amuses me that people who intend to " vent thier fustration on society through violence " are so craven in thier choice of target

That's just mind-blowingly horrendous. I can only think that Mr Aranda must be a very sick man.

I can't imagine being the mother, who politely asked if they should move out of his way, then seeing him pick the boy up and throw him over the edge. I can't say I wouldn't have shoved him down the escalator or dragged him a few feet and tossed his sorry ass over the railing. Being as it would have only taken a split second, I don't think it would hinder the time it took me to get down to my son.

He planed in advance to kill, before he went there. He wanted some one to die. If he is convicted we should give him his wish, don’t you think?

I wonder what attempted premeditated murder can get you in MN.

It's akin to the farmer who killed his hired help after he (the farmer) found the hired hand trying to rape his daughter. The farmer beat him and beat him until dead. He was arrested but released later with no charges. That was in Texas though. Things seem to operate differently down here.

There for a while, at least in the 90's and 00's that I recall, criminals seemed to always get off by using temporary insanity.

i feel like i am pretty damn clear when it comes to these things

there is a reason i am constantly called a pussy and other things.

it is because i make it very clear that if at all possible i do not want to get involved

definitely not risking life in jail to kill this guy

cant get more straight forward than that

Would you help beat the living shart out of him and take part in making sure he eats from a drinking tube the rest of his life?

Minneapolis -- The man charged with throwing a 5-year-old boy off a third-floor balcony at the Mall of America told police he was angry at being rejected by women at the Minnesota mall and was "looking for someone to kill" when he went there last week, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.

A patriarchal that teaches men they are entitled to sex(electing a guy to the Presidency of the US who paid for prostitutes and makes deranged comments about women) and that women owe them positive sexual attention - what do you expect? It's gonna get worse before it gets better, with most men being obese/overweight and many of those dudes feeling they are entitled to attractive young women having an easy-enough access to buying handguns

Yeah I agree. I can think of all kinds of scenarios with a catapult. I'd like to catapult him just beyond a mine field and see if he can make it back without stepping on a mine that let off an explosion just big enough to turn your foot into hamburger meat.

No its not.
Not the same at all

People are saying if they saw that done to someone elses kid they would kill.

So no not the same.

Sounds like you are as sadistic as the guy who threw the kid off the edge, you're just afraid of the consequences of unleashing your personal and inner anger on someone

I doubt anyone who witnessed it would testify against him. If I were there, I'd join Edumaketed.

It's Alabama, we may be behind the times on a lot of things, but unlike a lot of more "progressive" states, mistreatment/harming of children is universally despised.

I hope to never have to test my theory, but I'm 95% sure a jury would see it favorably for the parent.

Nope

I linked to show the temp insanity works less than 1 percent of the time.

This is not the movies

If it was your kid it might fly

Someone elses prob not
