Right, I know there are more of us than it seems.

But the problem is that instead of recognizing that, the narrative is “no it was Russian collusion and influence causing this and there is nothing wrong with our ideology. If you disagree or vote otherwise you are either a closet racist/white nationalist or influenced by Russians.” It’s incredible. These narratives or the ultimate cognitive dissonance in preventing them from conducting self examination.

Although, to be fair I think Russiagate is purposeful propaganda by the DNC and allied.

IMO what was done to bernie will be studied for generations.
It is what got kavanaugh and gorsuch on the SCOTUS imo.

I don't think Bernie would have beat Trump. He definitely wouldn't now. Free everything is simply impossible. If he had run and won, he wouldn't win a reelection because he wouldn't have been able to live up to his platform.

That remains to be seen. Whether Trump runs or not has no bearing on your claim that Beto is a force to be dealt with. As an adult, he eats magic dirt to deal with losing an election. I doubt he will be the Dem nominee. Surely someone within his own party will use that against him.

Right regardless of politics I reject the way they label everyone who disagrees with the severe ad hominems (racist, coon, Uncle Tom, etc). To be fair, some right wingers call way too many liberals commies and so on.

Plain and simple fact is Hillary lost by ignoring voters, alienating swing voters with the deplorable comment and having too many unresolved ethical questions.

And it was glorious.

I don't trust Trump anymore than the next guy/gal but Hillary would have been a disaster.

Hillary would have made the history books.

First president to serve in exile for her own protection.
First president to be impeached and removed from office.
Might even been the last elected president under the current system.
Tim Kaine would have been the Second Vice President taking over absent the death of the president.

They got Beto

lol
really?
he couldn't even beat ted cruz
cruz is actually disliked more than trump

beto lol
mkay

To be fair, he got closer as a dem running for senate in Texas than most who's tried before him for quite a while...

That said, I still don't think he would get many independents, like Quetzal said, he's establishment.

who loves men more than you?

Feminists

That's from all that Hollywood money that rolled in. Same reason Jon Ossoff almost beat Karen Handel in GA in 2017.

Trump may not even run in 2020. By then his brain rot, may have gotten so strong that he will be wandering around drooling and gibbering into his cell phone with a dead battery.

Actually, it might be that the best bet for conservatives is to, right now, push to impeach him before the whole conservative movement goes down in flames of loyalty to a babbling idiot. Try and finish out his term with Pence and then in 2020 find someone who embraces the finer conservative values with a stable mentality rather than the tortured and fractured mind they have all pinned their hopes on in Trump.

Considering he's a far better option than anyone in the democrat party and beat them all, you're not being very kind to your side.

Trump gains support when the left loses their sh!t. Not as many people are won over his promises kept as you think because a lot of people didn't support what he promised. A large part of the election will be over popularity. Those that love him will not change those that hate him will not change and those in the middle will choose based on an assortment of reasons.

Which group is destroying my freedoms more is what I ask and I will vote against them. At the moment the left is trying to destroy the second amendment and they support those who are trying to destroy the first by remaining quite when groups like antifa resort to violence and labeling everyone a Nazi that doesn't conform to their will. So even though I can't stand Trump I will not vote for any on the left who through action or inaction are destroying the constitution. As has been proven time and again once the govt overreaches it is near impossible to reign them back like with the patriot act which both sides quietly keep passing on.

I really wish there was a good third party out there.

I understand all of that. What I don't understand is why he's hated even more by the left for his criminal justice reform and job increases, black unemployment lows, etc.

I'm not sure but he was getting a bunch of love from CNN and MSNBC. I haven't seen whether or not he got any love on the 3 big networks outside of a few interviews. But CNN and MSNBC focused mainly on the fact that he would be the first known gay president.

I can't disagree there... I just call them progressives. Those who are like you or Jim Webb I call old school dems. Y'all are the ones who still hold the same ideology and weren't weak-minded enough to be brainwashed. You know, back when the left and right could still compromise. Back when your best friend would remain your best friend even if your political ideology was different. Back when holiday dinners could remain civil when politics came up. The good old days.

Well except that none of that would have happened. Your post is nothing but right wing doom porn fantasy material.

Hillary was a run-of-the-mill center-right corporatist war-monger (that still managed to beat Trump) who would have kicked the can down the road. By all accounts, very little would have changed.

Yah, I miss those ancient days of.. 15 years ago lol.

It’s true though, things have gotten so divided and toxic. It makes me sad.

Thankfully my family has been able to stay pretty civil over the table, even split across parties. Maybe I’m lucky that it was always modeled for me that way.

Okay. There were not any groups of people that would have taken matters into their own hands. Keep saying that.

And Trump was welcomed with open arms by 100% of the population as well.

Then that must by why progressives are planning protests over the report. Because Trump.

What I am saying was 2016 was very close to the blade’s edge. Closer than many would like to admit.

If the democrats ran on issues like health care, workers rights and the environment they might have a fighting chance. But they are just about identity politics, keeping our borders open (which is very unpopular with about 80 percent of the voters in the REALITY world), and transgender/LGBT issues. Not to mention all the anti white, anti blue collar flyover state vitriol for the past few years has largely alienated a significant segment of the white working class voters. Also they perpetually give the impression they are more concerned about issues abroad than domestic issues that the average paycheck to paycheck American finds relevant. I think they have a big uphill battle to win elections in 2020. In short you cant call the majority bloc of voters a bunch of unsophisticated hillbillies and not expect them to remember you at the polls.

Another reason they will likely lose is that the DNC is not giving air time to candidates like Tulsi Gabbard that are more centrist, and could actually win.

The DNC will lose the election for the Democrats, AGAIN.

Worst party leadership ever!

I was talking about this with some liberal friends last night and she said she didn't want a centrist.
