Brand new account, predictable posting style, an expected lack of flow up activity. I've dinged you as a temporary agitator who will contribute nothing except a handful more of similar inflammatory posts in an attempt to stoke division. Hey, at least you get paid for it . Everyone needs a job, right?
As far as the topic, if new Zealand citizens and it's law enforcement had the right to be armed, certainly there would have been a less catastrophic situation. It is time for new Zealand to grant their citizens the right to self defense in the modern world and open their markets to the tools of liberty.

I am just worried that this will encourage copycats and retaliation from Islamic terrorists.
The coward who did this deserves all the punishment coming to him.

Don’t give the POS NZ shooter what he wants. Don’t speak his name don’t show the footage. Seems that most agree on that. The questions is can the media do what’s right and pass up the ratings they’ll get by doing the opposite? I fear we all know the answer unfortunately.
twitter.com...
I've watched portions of it and it's not worth watching. Unfortunately, its being uploaded to twitter & YT faster than the admins can remove it.
he states wish i could do it all again, ill plead not guilty, and looking forward to doing 27 years at the systems expense.

I wonder if he contemplated that the prison he might be going to will have it's fair share of Muslim convicts and some of those inmates will be drawing lots to see who gets to him first. He might not see out 27 weeks.

Yep, surreal indeed. I agree there is definitely something off about it as far as what we know so far.
I got an aching feeling in the pit of my stomach the worst is yet to come -- that being the details.

What an absolute tragedy, thoughts and condolences obviously to all involved.
I have to say though, i am ashamed of some our ATS members reading through this thread - looking for doubts, excuses, etc for some nut job idiots. There is no excuse for this type of behaviour ever.
Many right wing terrorists slip under the Security Agencies umbrella because they are what is referred to as "long fuse attacks". In other words, it is all so long term and quiet that it is simply not noticed. It isn't a conspiracy, it is a recognised issue within Intelligence Services but one that is almost impossible to identify without some form of Minority Report type technology - and none of us want that.

He doesn't deserve a quick and painless death. The sicko should be slowly tortured and live streamed for the world to see. Now that I'd watch.

No.. why martyr him? Let him die, alone, in obscurity.
As to the torture.. again why debase yourself to his level. Are we not better than this?
I'm still in shock at what he has done, but not so out of my wits that I'd contemplate becoming him to destroy him. I'd rather his final thoughts were of the insignificance of his life.
