ATS is lacking political balance

The, "ATS of old," also wouldn't allow tons of one liner, throw away responses that added little to the substantive content of the conversation and yet those are often the comments that add pages and pages to a thread; I've been guilty myself of this on occasion though that is generally due to me being fed up with the very that very thing.

I consider myself to be somewhat right leaning on some topics and somewhat left leaning on others, yet I am certain if many members, some in this very thread, were asked, they would say that I am one of those 'alt-right' types I see being railed against in the OP source links.

As another member mentioned, it is somewhat interesting to see a plethora of newly created accounts flood the board with a huge number of the kinds of posts I mentioned I my first paragraph, some have as many as an average of 42 posts/day and are less than a month old.

All we can do to improve the quality of our site here is to continue to make the kinds of posts we think should be made and if assertions are being made, make sure relevant excerpts with links are included in order to back up said assertions.

The abovenetwork llc is a managing partnership which began as the ATS website. It has paid employees, owners, and volunteer moderation. It does not take or promote an official political leaning.

The OP, and the wiki its cites, claims moderation favors alt- right leanings.
The mods can, and do participate in discussions, but ive seen no move to the right by the staff, or the management.

By the membership participation, sure. It's hard to defend leftist ideology out side of echo chambers. So the lefties have gone elsewhere. They're easily startled, but they'll be back.

I agree that it is obvious ATS has been changing...but it was evolving long before Trump and obviously media distrust was well before your own authored thread date.

It is quite funny to make claims that the left are not able to stand toe to toe in a debate against someone from the right when all they have to offer as sources are Fox news, conservative tree house, conservative pundit site or whatever conservative BS site. They cry about fake news but are the main purveyor of it and by using these websites with their misleading headlines, lies, cherry picked fact or misrepresentation of what is actually said or done, they show that they are unable to present their side of the debate with facts and if their views were valid, they would not have to resort to such tactics.

Personally I say bring it on, safe space not needed. These alt right douche bags live in a bubble of their own making, where you don't dare question their outdated archaic opinions.

ATS hasn't been it's old self for a long time now. It took a massive nose dive with the introduction of the Mud Pit. If you want to know when I thought ATS was great just look at my 10 year retrospective. Most of the members I named as being the best of the best haven't even been active for years now.
