ATS has always been about being sceptical about the info you are being shown.

A lot of people aren't trump supporters they just don't believe in this new "left" push against what is moral and right in the world.

The worst thing is I believe the site did have a push just before the election to go "left" with a new influx of "members" from the social media influencer conglomerates which got a huge push back from us all.

Even now you see the odd person I'd consider a leftie pushing false narratives and being unwilling to backup their options / provide sources, which is what this site is about. Maybe that's why "the left" doesn't stick around because they don't like doing it and "the right" doesn't mind.

no it has not,
if anything the tolerance for false information has lessened,
and the whining from those attempting to sell the false information has increased

I don't know why our society(s) have become so fickle.

I always try to find the truth on here, even if the truth doesn't align with what I want it to.

I think this was a great thread, I think some are offended by the message, many say if you don't like it leave.

Personally, I think OP brought up a great discussion point, and while many of the things run rampant here, obviously some of us stick around.

I don't mind going through 10 threads to find 1 that is enriching and expands my mind, is that not what the quest of knowledge typically is in any part of life?

Some of the most eye opening conversations I've had were right here on this site. I'm not saying it's dead, I'm not even saying it's broken.

All I'm saying, like OP, is we are being dishonest with ourselves if we can't recognize things that are right in front of our eyes.

Where did I ever say that the Left doesn't do the same #? There are plenty of examples of those on the Left going after the player and not the ball. But you just proved my point. You don't care about the countless cases of Right leaning members openly insulting and attacking everyone on the Right. You only care when someone on the Left actually punches back.

Yeah it’s a strange idea. If you basically treat them like crap and they leave it’s going to have much more to do with how they were treated than them losing an debate.

The answer is yes. The reason I stay is because I have 11 years on this site and I'm not going to be bullied out by some alt-Right punks. Been a member a long time and a lurker even longer, and while I do post I prefer to just read and learn. LOL the political bent is a bit frustrating as there are so many sites for that but not the rest of ATS. I get it, but sometimes think we were a better site when primarily we didnt trust either party or the system nor the MSM. Formerly legit conspiracy topics get hijacked by the red or blue wave and fade into a war of words. Dont know the answer bit more and more feel like we are being manipulated to be divided when we really need to be less so.

It's a general attitude. I'm guess people with this attitude would also be those who don't provide sources and then derail a thread to make people give up etc.

I believe that the reason ats is majority right-leaning is a reflection on actual population statistics.
The majority of the western world IS right-leaning.

Ats is not abnormal in its right-leaning bias, it fits with the general population at large.

MOST people lean right. For obvious reason.
