I'm wondering if anyone teaches the story about The Boy Who Cried Wolf anymore?

I know, how did it ever come to this? When did he think this was a good idea and it would work. I just want to work come home eat dinner and maybe find a new girlfriend, I don't ever have thoughts of becoming the ultimate hate crime victim, while trying to help a Lynching bill pass, and at the same time trying to topple a sitting us president.

Police seems really mad/upset, they will most likely not just give him a slap on the wrist, thats what i get from the press conference

In his defense, I'm sure he's stunned this didn't just go away.
Chicago police superintendent Eddie Johnson said "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett staged the alleged attack because he was "dissatisfied with his salary."
Smollett first "attempted to gain attention by sending a false letter that relied on racial, homophobic and political language," an apparent reference to a letter sent to the "Empire" set in the days before the attack.
"When that didn't work, Smollett paid $3,500 to stage this attack and drag Chicago's reputation through the mud in the process," Johnson said.

But there was a camera, Jussie made sure of it. Pointed it out to the police even, "Whew, good thing there was a camera up there recording my assault..." but unfortunately it was aimed in the opposite direction. Homework fail, but he tried.
