Breaking: Active Shooter in Aurora, IL

Reported mass casulties in Aurora, IL.

Reports of at least four officers shot and multiple other people down in what seems to be a workplace shooting.

PJ Media has it on their Live Blog right now. They've got Twit dates and video. Reports that firefighters have called for as many ambulances as possible, and that at least one medical center has called in all available personnel for an emergency triage situation so expecting many casualties.

This one sounds bad.

Also according to witnesses reported on Fox News the shooter was a "coworker" so possibly a disgruntled employee?

It's been a while since we've had someone truly go postal. The last major incidences where coworkers went ballistic had other motives in the end.

They always say disgruntled employee but never give the story as to why they are disgruntled. No reason to shoot people of course, but much like student shooters who have been bullied into their own version of retaliation, it makes one wonder what really happened behind the scenes to this employee.

Whatever the true story is, it’s still not a reason to shoot whoever, but it can give a more realistic version of why the employee snapped.

Yes, this is a tragedy.

No, it's not a daily occurence.

Go ahead and get your dig in on gun owners, you know you want to.

I will never comprehend the mindset it takes to "snap" like this person did. To take anyone's life just because you are disruntled or upset is very troubling to me.

To wish harm on someone just because they are in the way, or to harm innocent bystanders is one of the most vile things humans can do.

Unfortunately, as sad as this is, it's been going on since the dawn of time. Some people just are downright evil and this happens all over the world, every single day.

We may never escape this type of behavior no matter how hard people try to outlaw the tools they use. Darkness will find a way.

But we need to shine brighter and light up the world as best we can so that darkness will not consume us.

Reports now say the shooter was "neutralized" 😦
