Not quite the same. No representatives actually put forward a bill make it legal for trans unicorns to crap in kids lunchboxes.
Obviously the two bills have zero chance of passing, but it does however show just how unhinged the intent is. These are not crazies on street corners calling for this - they are elected representatives weilding significant power.

And? You gonna get all concerned over there about something that has no chance in hell of passing over here?

That's a whole lot of selling for the Republicans who can pretty much kiss any reasonable chance of the Presidency away.

Oh, I agree with you. Odds are extremely long, not something I'm going to lose a lot of sleep over.

But I'll raise a bit of a fuss any way. Just in case. Firm believer in better safe than sorry.

Again, every presidential election has gone the popular vote except for 3 or 4 and two of those wouldn't have surprised anyone anyway...Clinton and Al Gore. Clinton and Al wouldn't have gotten second terms though because they are terrible leaders.

Again, that's no excuse to take away a check and balance that will give the vote only to democrats time and time again in states with the largest populations.

You're missing the point though, a popular vote system would give all the Republican voters in California, New York and other liberal strongholds a vote that actually matters for the first time ever. How can you want to deny conservative voters in two of our most populous states?

LoL.

Are they more important than their kind in the other 48?

These are weak arguments. Nothing has been offered worth replacing a working system.

This has no merit

Breaking: Democrats want a civil war so bad they're trying to accelerate the process.

More at 11.

And maybe your right, but why do you think that? I mean show my how I'm wrong. If every vote counts, more people will vote. I'm using California as an example, because it's easy to see and always works this way. The Liberal Candidate doesn't even need to spend any money campaigning there, because they know they'll get all of Californias electoral votes anyway. The Conservative Candidate doesn't spend much money there because it's wasted resources. And as far as president goes, every conservative voter in California knows they're votes will be wasted if they vote there and count for nothing. How is that fair?

Give it 100% passage in both the House and Senate for a minute, still has to pass in 3/4 of the States and that is not going to happen very easily. Especially with all the “nutters” out there that can silence a voice of poor opinion.

Of course. Don't bother trying to fix all the corruption and reasons why people are disgusted by you, and the reasons thy lost. Rather, try to change the system to be more convenient for the insane instead.

It's not going to happen at all. Which is why I think it's both sad and funny that people get worked up over this.

No, like I said it's more concerning that elected officials could even think up such a bill - on two counts.. 1, they think it's a good idea and 2, they are wasting their time.

It's called pandering, all politicians do it.

Or politicians being blackmailed. There are several establishment Republicans in the house and Senate which could be dissuaded by dems, and the globalists to accept this bill.

I am not saying there is a 100% possibility this will pass, but knowing the dirty tactics of the democrats for the last few years at least, they will try anything and everything to make this possible. More so when prominent democrats are on board with abolishing the EC.

Relax all, he floored an amendment. That will require a series of events to happen that will not happen. If the average states ratify it they will be cutting their throats and they know it too.
