As far as the price gouging....
Emails show that Ivanka Trump connected Gates with Mickael Damelincourt, managing director of the hotel. Damelincourt responded with a new rate of $175,000 per day for use of the Presidential Ballroom and meeting rooms, offering a $700,000 charge for four days of use.
www.huffingtonpost.com...
Other sources report the Ballroom typically rents for $85,000 per day.
lol
The ballroom rents for $85K per day.
Does that ALSO include catering/staff/etc. for 4 days...or just the rental of the room itself?
I think the very bias HUFFPO is being a bit sneaky with their figures.
U.S. Trump Inauguration Spending Under Criminal Investigation by Federal Prosecutors
[exnral prosecutors in Manhattan are investigating whether President Trump’s 2017 inaugural committee misspent some of the record $107 million it raised from donations, people familiar with the matter said. The criminal probe by the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office, which is in its early stages, also is examining whether some of the committee’s top donors gave money in exchange for access to the incoming Trump administration, policy concessions or to influence official administration positions, some of the people said.
Giving money in exchange for political favors could run afoul of federal corruption laws. Diverting funds from the organization, which was registered as a nonprofit, could also violate federal law.

Do you really not have a problem if Trump embezzled funds donated supposedly to help his campaign, and instead channeled them into his own pocket?
I guess you celebrated when Trump Universities embezzled all those students out of their money too?
Or when the Trump organisation commits fraud to evade paying taxes?
Can you post me the proof of embezzlement?
As for committing fraud to avoid paying taxes, is that leftspeak for "Trump used actual laws to pay less taxes, so he is a criminal even though everyone else uses deductions as well?"
Because the standards of the left are, again, getting funnier and funnier.
The Democratic Party slogan going into 2020 should be "Because It's Not A Crime When We Do It."

Re: Trump cashing in on his election:
"If I'm elected president, I'm accepting no salary."
-Donald Trump
First President in modern history to see his net worth drop considerably while in the office, and he's called the guy who's trying to profit from the presidency... The jokes about Le Resistance really do write themselves, don't they?
Michelle Obama had herself a staff of 24 paid attendants.
Melania Trump has 4.
Trump spends $5M LESS than Obama on WH salaries.
Yeah...the orange one is milking the taxpayers for everything he can get.
Okay, I'm sorry I just can't help myself. What do those four attendants do? Help Melania swipe Michelle's speeches, steal her "Be Best" idea from Obama's staff for her, and pick out her lovely jackets with slogans?
Michelle was all over the globe with sweetness and light. Seriously, like other first ladies' Michelle took her role seriously, and wasn't just trying to 'suffer through it' as clearly Mrs. Trump is doing, and very rarely tries to hide that fact.
Melania is out there doing lots of scheduled charity events as well. She unfortunately, doesn't get all the press that Michelle got. She may not be out there trying to make new laws and has no need for 24 attendants but she is out there being a first lady, mother, and wife to the Potus.
It is sad that one only hears about all the charitable appearances Flotus and Potus actually do through alternative religious news sites that actually want to share the positive news. They apparently don't just focus on the negative headlines to boost clicks and views for advertisers! Sigh.
Federal prosecutors are reportedly looking into whether President Donald Trump's inaugural committee broke the law by misspending some of the record money it raised from donations last year.
The investigation stems in part from a recording investigators obtained when they raided the property of Michael Cohen, Trump's former longtime lawyer, in April. Cohen is proving to be a key asset to prosecutors, who are following the money. Cohen has pleaded guilty in two other ongoing criminal investigations into Trump's business dealings and activities during the campaign and has quickly emerged as one of the most dangerous cooperators against the president.

Apparently 50 million dollars is still unaccounted for.
Sweet Sarah was asked about it, and here is her shocking comment:
"Donald Trump didn't have anything to do with it".
