BREAKING: Active Shooter Thousand Oaks

With the victims and location being similar to Vegas if this turns out to be another Lefty, something is gonna start smelling a bit funny. Another country venue full of the kind of people who are into that scene (and no doubt college kids who were there for the atmosphere).

Mental health issues and the 2nd are a bad mix. Let's face it, there's something mentally wrong with anyone who can do this

America, please do something, anything to stop this happening so often, it's getting painful to witness.

That is desperately sad.

The victims still living are going to be hardest hit by all this, because of course the dead don't care anymore. The families and the survivors, those who got out, are going to be absolutely devastated by this for years, perhaps for decades to come.
And for what? Violence for its own sake? Insanity? Terrorism? Gang action? So absolutely awful in every respect.

Everyone needs to read what he said or listen to on video.

Nothing groundbreaking that I read, can you explain a little about why everyone needs to see that?

My heart goes out to all those affected but another round of senseless violence.

It's doesn't have to be groundbreaking to share.This is nothing short of terrorism. Why shouldn't it be shared how people are affected? I felt how that father did in the video hearing about it not only due to being a shooting survivor but how it continually is hitting home.

The video maybe wake up those who think these are false flag situations.

These kinds of shooters want to take out others with them. What's with the reoccurring mindset about this? Those who do these kinds of shootings, is that factor absent within them? Look what they are doing to this country as a whole.

One of my family members was local to the recent Tallahassee shooting. In fact she could have been shot that day if she did go. For the simple fact she was female being the target of the shooter. In that case for what because he abused women, a self described incel(those beta/incel websites are a virus in their own right)thought women owed him the world?

There's no evidence that the Las Vegas shooter was a Lefty. ...and no that doesn't mean I support Lefty's committing violence either. It was likely a damn gun runner and cp peddler. Wasn't sitting around worrying about politics when he's busy in crime.

Plus the Vegas shooter liked Country music and wanted to shoot up a rock fest and other concerts as well. It's really not worlds apart location wise and to expect country fans would be in two similar concert type venues.

Another tragedy, by the little I heard on the BBC it sound's like the local law enforcement may believe he was just a nut job but either way the victims' were mainly young college kid's with there whole lives ahead of them.
I can never understand why anyone would ever want to harm another person let alone a group of kid's.

The sicko wanted to go and take everyone with him. Exactly what I was addressing with the terror reference. People used to commit suicide, not they want everyone around them to die as well.

Locally, FFS, someone #snip who viciously murdered a woman, was so preciously impatient with a bridge not being open yet so he shot into two people's car nearly killing them and a child before killing himself.

Wow! This is the only post about this I seen on ATS. I thought you guys would have been all over this! I'm in Toronto Canada, and as of 8:40 AM here the news is saying 13 dead, including the shooter and a police officer. Shooter described as dressed in dark clothing with a hoodie, using a small caliber handgun with a laser target. No motive as of yet. Still an active crime scene, so police aren't saying much.

These things keep happening. Yet, we make no solidifiable action to stop it from happening. Every time we get back into the exact same debate or guns or no guns! Every time. That is insanity, you do all see that, right?

I’m pro-2nd amendment, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be some middle ground to achieve some internal security within our borders.

It’s obvious the government doesn’t give two sh*ts about the people. They only care about votes. That’s evident. So we as a PEOPLE have to be the solution to the problem. I’ve mentioned on here before what I’m trying to do to help out society. What are YOU, as an individual, doing to help?

News on the radio on the way into work was mentioning something about a 29 year old shooter who drove "his mom's car" to the scene...

Still looking up info, but if the shooter drove his moms car to the scene I would wager this individual may have been a basement dwelling loser prescribed some kind of anti-psychotic or anti-depressant meds... Just a guess...

Sounds like some of these folks can't catch a break, as it appears that some of the patrons were at the RT. 19 Music Festival last year too.

Aside from the college students filling the bar, survivors of the 2017 Las Vegas massacre -- which occurred during a country music festival -- were also in Borderline.

What is it you're doing again?

Opening an academy based on the premise of building character and developing adversity in not just youth, but anyone of any age. A place where people can come to challenge themselves through specific areas (I don’t want to mention here so the idea isn’t stolen).

Character, adversity, self confidence. Every lesson plan and teaching moment will be focused on developing these missing/depleted aspects of American society.

I’m finishing my education at Miami University this spring. This summer we begin phase one with is the testing and development phase. Develop the lesson plans, test them out on control groups, perform SWOT analyses on it all, and move to phase II. So on, and so forth. My goal is to have everything fully operational by January 2020.
