The waves from 11/11 had a unique signature. I don't know if these have the same sig.

That is the image I stored in our s/sheet from post #2551 with the filename DtgxGsrXcAAHAVp.jpg . It gets given a different filename when you upload to ATS.

Re: raised index finger and little finger is also a 'hook um horns' sign for the University of Texas Longhorns football team. Thus you must take into context who is displaying the sign and where they are located while doing such.

I don't know if there is another context for the sign other than what is already mentioned plus mine but we can't just look at all symbolism and automatically assign it to something nefarious.

That is like looking at the OK sign and automatically saying it means 'white supremacist'.

Very good post. In Sociology, Symbolic Interactionists study the form or means of communication; Sociologists of Understanding study the content of communication. They support one another's theories and meet in the middle where both theories fit together to comment on what makes for meaningful communication. Context is one of those key factors that must be taken into consideration when Sociologists of Undrstanding analyze content. The meaning of any form/content of communication is always relative to the social contructs various particular speech communities create for themselves. Thus, the same symbol can have different meanings to different people. When Q states "Their symbolism will be their downfall", what form does their symbolism take? Who is Q talking about specifically (identify speech group and describe it using different socio-theoretical approaches)? What constructed meaning(s) does this particular speech community ascribe to its various means of communication? What do their symbols mean to THEM? Can 'outsiders' really understand what those symbols mean without consulting with an 'insider'? Can an 'outsider' truly trust an 'insider' to tell them the correct meaning of their symbols? Is it possible that even 'insiders' can sometimes misunderstand things, and get the meaning of their own forms of communications wrong? Q's vagueness isn't helpful here.
