This is beyond presidential power and Trump is an idiot if he believes he can change it without congress.
no changes are to be made to the 14th amendment though. he isnt taking away current citizens papers. he is deeming those illegals coming to try and get in as enemies of the state and a threat to our society with this decision.

It's interesting to note that Mary Trump (Donald's mother) immigrated to the United States from Scotland in 1930. She became a naturalized US citizen in 1942 - just four years before Donald was born.
If Donald was born just a few years earlier, then by his own Executive Order he would not be a citizen himself (and therefore not qualified to be President).

Obviously there are other threads on this.
for my 2 cents though,
If you are born in the US, then other countries don't have jurisdiction over you...the US does.
If a couple from China comes over here and has a kid, China cannot demand that the child is a chinese citizen...as it was born outside of China, and therefore outside of their jurisdiction.
The US grants citizenship to qualifying children born outside the US.
A lot of nations grant citizenship to children born to their citizens, no matter where they are born.
Trump isnt going to try and remove the US citizens birthright citizenship though from ACTUAL AMERICANS.
This is what trump is saying and nothing else.

"ACTUAL AMERICANS" includes anyone born in North, Central and South America.

This is what trump is saying and nothing else.
But the Constitution doesn't. There's the rub.
He also said that the US is the only country in the world which has such a provision.
Wrong. Again.
