Flour is a "pyrotechnic powder" too. So is finely powdered sugar. With the right mix with air and the right heat source: boom! Plenty of flour mills and sugar mills get blown up during fires that way; very fine dust sitting atop rafters gets disturbed by the "thrumming" of water from firehoses, it drifts down and mixes wkith air and suddenly -- BOOOOM!

Ask any firefighter about the risks of fighting fires in old factory buildings.

Like I said, vague. But that's the way they do it.

ETA: the image you have shows an almost perfect circle. If I say it's "perfect" then you will probably argue about that. But it's damned near perfect. The image we have does NOT show such perfection; it is as close to a perfect match as the one in the Wiki as it can probably be.

If you want to be argumentative for its own sake while ignoring the real issues, that's up to you. I presented a source that members can check for themselves, and at the same time presented an observation that had not previously been made, while you just regurgitated something posted already in this thread -- as if you think I have not read the darned thread.

That's the trouble. We have a society now where the vast majority of people do not anaylse anything.

Heck, maybe we always had that kind of society. I don't know. But now, the reaction times are near-instant. It's "OMG someone sent these people BOMBS!!!!!" and it gets 10,000 Likes or something and people just go with it.

This BS doesn't even need to be moderately clever any more.v Just a few pics and few lines and the story goes the rounds for the next couple of days.

Thanks loam! I was going to link to Acosta's twitter but I knew that someone had to have done it already. Going through all the comments does pay off every once in awhile!

I think most can agree the timing is suspicious enough to be noted. And thus far they don't seem to be devices that were intended to go off. More suspicious. Plus, the other oddities that haven't been explained yet. Even more suspicions.

Having said that, if a "lone white nationalist right wing racist homophobe" (TM DNC All Rights Reserved) is arrested rather quickly, I'd be willing to be less suspicious as I considered the forthcoming information.

However, if it turns out that we're told it's a group of "white nationalist right wing racist homophobes" then I'm definitely going to suspect a cointelpro/black propaganda-type Op. Especially if anyone is killed "resisting."

Really? Check the lettering of the motto? See how it rises in the middle in the parody flag (and the bomb)? Does the motto on the real flag do that?

Heck, you're probably at least a magnitude smarter than me, Phage. I'm just giving you my honest assessment. I'm not bothered by that; I'm too old to worry about such things. However there are some things where I do "know stuff" and this is one of them. Which is why I might get a bit miffed if I feel like I'm being lectured. "My bad", as they say these days.

Back to the subject. My issues with this are many-fold, but they boil down to about three:
-- why put a timer on a device that is going through a mutli-stage delivery system and could be subject to any number of delays?
-- why place such a device in an envelope (a very flexible "container") that through extrenal forces, could affect the timer and make it either fail or "function" prematurely?
-- why does this device have no visible power source of a strength that could make use of the "coil" within it? IOW, where is the huge battery this thing would need in order to work?

I've seen over-ripe bananas that are probably more dangerous than this device was.

a real mailbomb would not be in a yellow bubblewrap package it would be in a normal box

a real bomb would not use a timer alone you would want the package to detonate when opened
