Absolutely ridiculous, no wonder US young people are confused.
Pffft... and young brits are so clear and level headed in comparison. 🙄
When was the last UK school killings by students?
Lol, google it and get back to me.
They must be really confused compared to Brits who can legally leave home at 16 as I did.

I left home aged 16, working and living independently. No wonder your young people shoot up schools n stuff the way they are treated like babies. I'd rebel if I was a young person in the US.
The amount of parents allowing their teens to get away with it sans repercussions IS. Had I ever spoken to my father like THAT, flat refused to help him or do a chore and stomped off, I would not have been allowed to do anything but school and the two daily meals at home before and after it, and sit in my room bored to tears until my attitude adjusted. I find it borderline repulsive that people are ripping on Warrior here, while refusing to admit the kids & attitudes they revile would not exist if not for the attitudes and influences of mommy and daddy's own generation. Stop kicking the can down the road, you're just as good at blaming others as teens are.

Gosh, different worlds. There is no legal age limit in the UK for parents to allow their kids to drink alcohol. It is allowed so long as it does not harm a child. Sounds crazy yeah, but it's true. Having a few drinks is legal and part of growing up for UK kids.
The age 16 thing only applies to bars, a parent in the UK can allow a child of any age to drink so long as the child does not suffer. Your 'kegger' party thing is weird because young teens in the UK expect to be able to drink at house parties. There is no mistique about the drinking, no 'cool parents' getting down with the kids, it's just legal here and what people do.
How old do you have to be to drink alcohol in the UK?
Young people aged 16 and 17 may consume some types of alcohol – namely beer, cider and wine - as long as it is with a meal, and they are accompanied by an adult. It is illegal for anyone under 18 to buy alcohol at the bar of a pub, or from anywhere else selling alcohol. 16 May 2018

I contradicted nothing.
If I influence a small group - my family, then so be it. Until and unless that small group grows to a critical mass capable of influencing the other 350 million or so individuals who are doing likewise in this country, what we see in pop-culture has little responsiveness to me personally and my small family group.
That sort of change doesn't happen overnight and it often takes generations.
How many generations? I can see people here complaining and they have grand children 12 or 15 or so, I'm 17, how many generations it takes? Maybe it doesn't matter anyway
If every generation had done something to prevent it then who knows but complaining about it just because now affects you directly i don't think that's right, because it was happening before and no one cares unless they are affected so it just keeps growing
I don't know anything i'm just saying, i'm sorry if i offended you i did not meant to, i'm just like this most times, i'm sorry
I don't think i have anything else to say now, i know it will continue to go on forever and there is no point

Firstly let me explain I was addressing another members post
Your line here was pretty pathetic...
I have always had a laugh with young adults, my child and my friends children. They are an important part of our life tribe. Maybe you feel like a boring old bastard who can't relate to younger people?
You do realise there is nothing more embarrassing and pathetic than a parent trying to be one of the 'kids' the best buddie, dad dancing and all that.
I actually feel sorry for you if that is the case.
Dad dancing, give me a break lol, you old stick in the mud boring old people, I'm glad I haven't caught your elderly disease.

Point being .....Were they laughing with you or at you?
There is a difference
While they might think of me as boring (par for the course with teens)
They probably think of you as a stupid old fool!!!
If the cap fits......

No opinion on the topic but I am just overjoyed beyond words, young one, that you are here. I am the "everyone," and the, "people," you keep mentioning. I just can't believe the gullibility and unquestioned acceptance that millennials give anything with a major media conglomerates as a source, the acceptance of if not demand for big brother to come on home and settle in as they cry for utopia, demand censorship and thought police, circumvent due process expecting majority conducted trials with mob execution of sentence if it even gets that far and immediate character assassination doesn't take place... I am erasing whT I had after this point since I will do just what you hate and what you assure me you never did anything to deserve and I will simply then take comfort in knowing you guys are making your way around alternative view and alternative media sites and be hopeful but I must say I think you and I both know you are the exception and not the rule. Heck just your competent command of language has you set apart from your peers, you do know that right?

No this is completely wrong
You don't get it at all
I would never party with some old guy that is going to try to indoctrinate or become weird and touchy
I would party and I do with guys that are street wise, that can listen and tell me what I wanted to know with no judging, and their wives are supportive and fun, and have lots of tips and make you feel family
I know people like that, who own bars and coffee shops and have kids and some of them are friends I go out with every weekend, they have parties and we are invited and everyone is equal and having fun
I dont laugh at then, they make me laugh because they are smart and know how to bring up a great atmosphere and are not afraid to integrate and learning our stuff, we can talk whatever and they listen and support instead of criticism because
I would get bored to death in one of those parties where everyone has their fake happiness mask and are just showing up to friends and neighbors
I have learned so much in the past year from older friends who own bars and coffee shops and restaurants, they allowed me to learn things I could not anywhere else, they invited to parties, introduced me to other business people, teached me how to act with them what to say and be street and business wise, and defended me when some tryied to get too close or touchy or stuff, all between parties and dinners and stuff, no big deal stuff but enough from what I wanted to learn and live
You think all people are idiot ignorants that will think an older guy is a fool because he can understand and integrate, but I know lots of guys like that and they are respected
You know what a fool is to me? Some old man uncapable to learn a bit but that pretends to care and fakes it, lame poser people is what I laugh about, when they don't even have a clue what we're talking about but pretend to get it. I hate fake people
You don't get it at all
