a few oldies but still goodies

China seems to be closing the gap but the gap is still pretty large.

I fear people under estimating China because that would be a deadly mistake.

that being said they are where we were in the mid 80's or so it seems.

here is an amazing video from TED by Regina Dugan and there is a cool video of them testing in space.

here is a cool re entry MaRV

“The target set that we would want to address, and why hypersonics are the most cost effective weapons for the U.S., I think it’s still to me somewhat of a question mark,” he added. “I haven’t seen all the analysis that’s been done to justify the current program.”

Sounds like a cancellation threat to me. Are we really ahead?

that last picture of the warhead doing that abrupt turn is a Pershing II warhead, from the cold war.....

i saw the video of the HTV-2 test from the bus and it was pretty impressive. Hypersonics have been here and a going to stay hear, weather a general or whoever says differently.

its on youtube somewhere

One picture in this thread is the closest thing to the Roswell craft I’ve seen…
The bottom is wrong the top would just need to be exaggerated a little more like an elongated flattened egg… get rid of the black on the nose round it off and lose the writing… The tail fins quite a bit longer the angle is pretty close…
then if the colour was a dull blue greyish silver that was still high gloss and looked like glass or deep water casting shadows on itself that would be it…

Do you think we can build the Saturn V rocket still? We did it for years, so we should be able to do it again, right?
