Cool, video to start the day, very interesting to say the least. Had no idea we were in partnership with brazil on this kind of level. At the same time I really don't see what they would contribute. Why would we share such advanced tech with them. But the 17 second 440 mile lightning bolt was interesting.
Now the claim is aircraft fire lasers infront of them to superheat the atmosphere and thus can obtain more speed. But this seems counter intuitive. If the issue at high speeds is the heat of the atmosphere, then how would shooting a laser to superheat the atmosphere allow the craft through faster? You would think you would want to cool the atmosphere down infront of you. But at those speeds and the many unknowns in could be a double negative type situation.
