Conservatives called foul when those comparisons were made to their guy so one would suspect that if they are indeed as ''personally responsible'' as they make themselves out to be, they would call out Junior by the same standards rather than defending him or blaming the dems for paving the road. If we wanted to blame the road pavers we could just as easily go back the Rep debates and how Trump was calling people names and making fun of their physical apperances. Could we not?

Well, to be fair, I can't speak for what Republicans/conservatives do or don't do, as I'm not part of them, but I will say that if the shoe fits, it should be worn. If, as you note, there are reflections of the early Nazi Party (I'm not talking about Final Solution stuff, here), then why should there be any call out to Trumpito?

And yes, I have studied early Nazi Germany. One of the biggest lessons I learned on my own was how American public schools only glossed over the rise of HItler. Hitler was the big bad boogie man reminiscent of all the despots and ''big men'' of earlier times, ''big men'' who in light of western democracy spreading around the world were on their way out.

Not once was I taught in those school days that it was not so much the ''big man'' but rather the economic and social pressures, the total gestalt of changing social structures that always allow for the rise of the ''big man'' when the people trust in a savior. It is our weakness to trust in the Dems and it is our weakness to trust in Trump.

We agree, here--our education system worries mostly about numbers and dates and names than it does broad lessons and overall pictures. It really is sad to see (and I'm sending my son to public high school after homeschooling him since 4th grade...I'm a tad nervous to see how that goes).

And I agree 100%--absolute trust should never, ever be placed at the feet of any leader, and right now, we have too many people willing to seat their asses firmly in the seats of the Trump Train or its sister train, the Never Trump Train, so be able to accurately assess anything that truly matters.

I didn't vote for Trump, and I did vote for Obama (the first time), but I'll be the first to say that, other than his personality flaws, he seems to be doing a surprisingly decent job as President, even if I don't agree with everything that his administration is doing. I think that in the big things that matter to the country as a whole, he's doing quite well, even if there are ruffled feathers in the wake.

When I see what the DNC is proposing and who they keep supporting, my confidence in them continues to wane, and I can't help but realize that their goal is to take the country in a direction that I don't want. I don't always agree with the R platform, either (being libertarian-minded, I scoop a little from both sides), but as far as what will be overall better in the long run for the nation as a whole (especially economically speaking), Trump has been doing a good job, even if his tactics are a bit unorthodox.

Anyhoo, I don't that either side has a goal of marching people to gas chambers and seeking a 'purified nation,' but sometimes there is a bit of truth to the Nazi comparison, and Trumpito isn't real far off on this one (again, not the Final Solution Nazism, but the early tactics).

Almost exactly 2 years ago, after I had been completely tuned out of politics / social media / news / etc, away in my own little 'time capsule' for 5 years, I stepped back in and saw the nature and the methods of the "Social Justice" social movement, and after several weeks of staring at it trying to figure it all out, it hit me, it hit me like watching the planes hit the World Trade Center: this whole scene is more Nazi than Neo-Nazi, ahem, they're the Nu-Nazi's.

Note this analysis looked not at the specifics of what they love / HATE, but the modes & methods from a social movement science standpoint; the way the people in it think, rather than the specifics of what groups they were or were not into. Note that ANY group can be fashioned into authoritarianism, and so on, there are fundamental characteristics that can define or defy any group regardless of what style of politics they prefer, or what religion, for example.

The resulting intrapsychic conflicts cause personal insecurities, resulting in that person's superego to adhere to externally imposed conventional norms (conventionalism), and to the authorities who impose these norms (authoritarian submission). The ego-defense mechanism of projection occurs as indicated when that person avoids self-reference of the anxiety-producing id impulse, by displaying them onto "inferior" minority groups in the given culture (projectivity), with associated beliefs that are highly evaluative (power and toughness), and rigid (stereotypy). Additionally, there is a cynical view of humanity and a need for power and toughness resulting from the anxieties produced by perceived lapses in society's conventional norms (destructiveness and cynicism). Other characteristics of this personality type are a general tendency to focus upon those who violate conventional values and act harshly towards them (authoritarian aggression), a general opposition to subjective or imaginative tendencies (anti-intraception), a tendency to believe in mystic determination (superstition), and finally, an exaggerated concern with promiscuity.

Essentially every single item in there can be found verbatim in the typical arguments of SJW's, although compared to Nazi's (whom the book was written about), some of the items just have twisted reasonings or uses of them now (i.e. this whole "Pansexual" kind of obsession).

The version of millennial social justice advocacy that I have spoken about, one that uses Identity Politics to balkanize groups of people, engenders hatred between groups, willingly lies to push agendas, manipulates language to provide immunity from criticism, and that publicly shames anyone who remotely speaks some sort of dissent from the overarching narrative of the orthodoxy, is not admirable. It is deplorable. It appeals to the basest of human instincts: fear and hatred. It is not an enlightened or educated position to take. It's all actually more sophisticated than Nazi propaganda. Where the Nazi's mainly just used 2 races (Aryans vs. Jews) and nationality, SJW's have commandeered every race, sexuality, gender, disability and so on to pit against the SWM Patriarchy. Then in a tactic I doubt even Neo/Nazi's had ever thought of, SJW's use them as human shields to deflect any criticism of their other tactics, twisted bahaviors & statements. I spent some 5 weeks on that OP.

And by every single metric one would compare another movement to the OG Nazi Movement, the SJWFRONT nailed it right on down the list like no other movement in US history. Not even the Neo-Nazi's could boast such (they merely share the outgroup HATE specifics the Nazi's had).

BUt hey since SJW's hate Nazi's, that mean they cant possibly be ANYTHING like them right??
