Whales and dolphins aren't fish. They're mammals. And yes they are more aware than fish. Hell, they may be more aware than us. We can't communicate with them but if we could maybe we'd learn something about the universe.

A fish, does it know is swimming on water or just think is moving on nothing?
Yeah but a fish is barely aware. It is of it's immediate surroundings but that's it.
Are you aware of anything that is not in your direct experience?

Tricky question. What does my "experience" entail? My readings on the universe? What I can imagine?

Thoughts, sensations, colour, sound.
If you imagine a house - it is appearing in your awareness.
Can anything appear outside awareness?

Then I would have to say "yes" to your question.

I told you...imagination. I may not understand the makings of the universe but I've had friends in the past, only one now, that did/does.

If you imagine a unicorn..............where would that unicorn appear? Surely you would have to be aware of that imagined unicorn. The unicorn would be appearing in awareness.

Who is the thinker then?
What is making this thoughts I have to appear?
I am making my thoughts to appear, but most of the people is unaware that they are doing it.
I also recognize that I cannot control some of my thinking, but I'm aware they come from me.
There is no thinker - there is only thought appearing/disappearing.
Nothing is making thought appear - it is simply just happening, just as everything is.
Is it possible to know what thought will appear next - before it appears?
You can only know it when it appears.
They arise in you and subside in you but thought can never speak about you.

Ummm...how do you...know...it's you making these thoughts appear...
If the universe is indeed hologrammatic...then perhaps it's something...other...that makes you think that you think...
That's why I have no faith in singularity as per AI...executing autonomous programming...is still programming...programmed sentience does not self awareness make...
