Are you saying that I cannot chastise Trump over his weaponizing of Saudi Arabia because I agree with his decision to pull out of the UN. Do you understand how asinine your post sounds? Don't be so narrow minded, you clearly have no idea what I think, about international or domestic immigration policies.
I find it hard to wade into a thread like this because of the way the left likes to break down the subject . It takes too many words to unravel the two trains of thoughts they stitch together . It could be that the "swamp" is to blame more so then Trump as far as giving weapons to SA . We see the battle going on in the US with the swamp but its hard to imagine what it must be like outside . Trump is not the end all be all and he has to rely on certain parts to be doing their jobs truthfully and honestly . Big weapons requires big bucks and a big country like the US has to turn over many many big bucks in order to just survive being in the position they find themselves .

But yea the UN is and always has been a big question mark in my mind . It served its purpose in bypassing congress to legally go to war . Maybe Trump taking that option off the table will have a ripple effect through out the whole system and there will be less war and weapons . Heaven forbid we see less war eh liberals

Trump praises Putin, Kim, says there are some very fine people that happen to be white nationalists, puts kids in cages, exits human rights council....no nothing weird is going on here.....

Of course they won't be able to solve anything, that won't change. ,,. but how is the US running away because the other kids won't play fair, going to solve the very real and dire problems? The point of diplomacy is to balance dissenting opinions and to try and achieve a fair compromise.

When you have a corrupt and hypocritical body posing as the promoter of justice and common good, IMO, you should first delegitimize and then dismantle it. Then you can have another go at creating a human rights organization that would be more balanced and will actually act to promote human rights around the planet.
To pretend that the current UNHRC is somehow legitimate is an insult on common sense, and counter productive to the efforts to promote human rights around the globe.

The UNHRC doesn't seem to be worth a damn anyway.
How many political Prisoners are there in China?
How about the treatment of women and minorities in the Middle East?

There is a long list of things the UN is blind to.
It is just a political club that picks on a fashionable cause from time to time while ignoring very real and long standing breaches of human rights.

You were meant to take the red pill btw.

Obama is not a white nationalist - he's a black fella.

Chew slowly, the truth is hard for some to swallow..........

1. Trump is not the Prime Minister of Australia.
2. I bet you, you cannot type out a clear 2-line acknowledgement that EVERYTHING happening at the southern border is Bill Clintons, George W Bushs and Obamas fault and that Trump is cleaning up the clusterflux which has resulted in democrats prioritising illegal criminals over actual US citizens.

*illegal criminals = criminal border crossers, child traffickers, future democrat voters.
*Legal immigrants = those with ethics and morals who love their children & abide by US immigration law.

They should have stayed in and pushed for changes

Perhaps Trump thought HRC stood for something else

At last someone is FINALLY standing up for human rights. Well done President Trump.
Like so may left wing and globalist organisations the name they use is the antithesis of what they actually do.

The healing of the world from the cancer of far left wing ideologies continues.

Indeed, it allows one to contemplate the antithesis of other such titles......

'Democratic People's Republic of Korea'
'Black Lives matter'
'Democratic National Convention'

...and so on

ITT: People celebrate having the right not to be murdered or tortured by government removed. Talk about turkey's voting for Christmas.

The term shadow govt. or deep state has been used along with "The Swamp" in recent times . Lots of evils hiding behind nice names like The White Helmets or other NGO's I think they are part and partial to what is referred to as Mystery Babylon . In fact if we start using that term instead of the numerous others we end up all getting on the same page .

Where in the sentence "US pulls out of UN Human Rights Council" is the logic jump to "Standing up for human rights"?
Especially right NOW?
What did your newsbubble feed you that you can tell us that "pulling out of the UN Human Rights Council" is ANYTHING like "standing up for human rights"??

I find it to be in very poor taste that you would use it as an appeal to emotion in a case like this.

But isn't that what you're doing, too? The media is bringing up the issue of children at the border, in terms of human rights - so I guess it is relevant to this thread too. The main arguments so far, seem to both be appeals to emotion and cherry picking. So before we all pretend that we are experts in logic, we should at least be honest with ourselves, much like what The GUT was trying to say.

However, I am more than willing to admit that I am not entirely familiar with US politics and the whole mess that is taking place - only from snippets that I see in the media. I'm not even a fan of Trump, but from those bits and pieces, it seems that this is as much to do with the efforts of previous administrations as anyone else - thus, it feels like Trump is being made to be a scapegoat for all the (past and present) ills of the US.

Lucky he has a thick skin and doesn't seem to give a stuff what anyone thinks. In that sense, love him or hate him, the man is well suited to the world of politics.

Lastly, being a conspiracy site, I think a great many of us have been suspicious of the UN for some time. I'm certainly cynical of their true interests - are they as altruistic as they claim? Perhaps we're going to see a slow burn of the UN, somewhat like the dissolution of the League of Nations. Unfortunately, the major event after that was WWII. Trust me, I am also for peace, I just wonder if the UN is really bringing that to the world.

Sorry, it's late here and I'm tired, so please forgive me for possibly not making as much sense as I would have liked and the ramble at the end.

Take care

Was this done mainly because of Israel? If so, how much has Israel swayed the current administration?

Israel certainly abuses human rights. Shots to the groin at peaceful protesters for example.

If you guys think trump is going to go against the grain, then this bias towards Israel certainly isn't it.

Seriously? You think making a political move is standing up for human rights?

How far gone are you in the political games that you think a moral high point is going against your political rival's ideologys?.. I'll let you know that both the left and right don't truely care about human rights. It's just a game on the political pendulum.

If there was real non-political reasons behind this move then why didn't trump explain them and provide examples??

Mainly because it is unfixable.
The Western nations, with the good hr records don't have the clout they do in the security council.
That's why you get mad stuff like Saudi Arabia being in charge of human rights etc.
