Why don't you try starting your own HGTOW group or philosophy? You can put it up against the MGTOWs and claim the improved life lessons that it will teach. Then we can see which one is closer to reality by simply reviewing the number of followers, say in a year or two.

Out of curiosity, have you traveled much? Specifically extended times abroad?

Anyway, I for one like the HGTOW moniker. The issue is with changing the language that people identify with. There's an etymology to these things that is actually important to the overall social scheme.

It'd be like claiming that I feel "Christianity" just isn't the best term, but "Bobism" should be used instead. I might genuinely feel that way, but once the concept hits the deeper waters of society at large.. it is likely to flounder and drown.

Ive got an analogy for you: There are two people, one on earth and one on mars. The earthling keeps asking for Martian dirt, but the Martian keeps replying, "stop being silly, Martian dirt is right at our feet! Just scoop it up!"

As an aside, its amazing to me how easily any social group is demonized nowadays. I think the trick is to find the representatives we find the most reasonable, and explore those avenues. If such folk can not be found, not for lack of effort but because they don't exist, then and only then might we consider that the demonization could be justified.

Then, you are probably aware that the longer you spend in a different environment, the more clear it becomes that the differences can run much, much deeper than clothes and language. And, even places that have similar (or the same) clothes and language can be vastly different under the surface. Almost to the point of being incomprehensible.

Simply put, its problematic to expect areas outside of our sphere to adhere to the same expectations and rules that we are familiar with. Of course, this may seem obvious, but acting in accordance with it is invariably different than simply accepting it as true.

So, why do you think it is, that we not only tend to define these things by what offends us the most, but we will choose to engage the source of that offense as a distinct priority?

An interesting behavior, innit? The (mostly) agreeable and reasonable posts are pushed aside in order to go after what irks us the most. How much different would discourse change through this medium (the internet), if we flipped the script on that?

It has nothing to do with avoiding women in a platonic sense. If anything the interactions with the opposite sex will be smoother as they will be just another human being for interaction and not something that is worshiped solely due to hormones. Some of them are mildly checking out of society to live a life they see fit, living for themselves. Others interact with society just fine. They just have a different set of ideals. But there is a basic groundwork that the majority of them share in common.

As someone stated previously, this is simply a fight for equality. The equality of outcomes.

Why are people so offended by this? They are not forcing others into this viewpoint, they are simply pointing out a different way of how this reality works. What you want to do with it is completely up to the individual.
